Look, I don't know much about CC history, I tend not to spam the good threads (about important discussions and such that people like) and I'm sure there are many other better candidates out there than me (definitely not RK though). Some people feel like I would make a good mod. Others feel differently. I guess the only way we would really know is if I was made one (but we aren't going to be doing that now are we). I am not a big mod wannabe. I wouldn't mind not being a mod, but I don't really care either way. I think that the most important thing that has been said in this thread is what the existing mods have to say. Flat out no. They either feel that they don't need one, or that I'm not the right person for the job. Maybe both. I also know that if they felt we needed a new moderator, they would come to us. Not the other way around. So, quite frankly, I think that the discussion was done when that was said.

That's good, because you aren't one ;)

But you would definitely recognize spam the moment you saw it. With your experience that shouldn't be a problem.

This has got to be one of the most controversial threads in General Discussion history (except for dugcarr, of course). :P

I voted: yes. Hectar is a spammer (and proud  ) but he keeps it in check by never spamming active discussions or, God forbid, mafia games. Besides, I think that there would be a lot more spamming going on had not the Spamelot been created. Now the spammers can spamm as much as they want and those who don't like it don't have to read it.
Also, the "How to thread" Sticky, has is well written and has helped a lot (since new posters don't have to ask the stupid questions that I, for example, had to ask (and if they do ask, we can swear at them and tell them to read the Sticky  ).
To conclude, if a mod is needed, IMO hectar would do nicley.

After what you posted in the social lounge just a few minutes ago, I wouldn't count on a mod-ing career if you know what I mean

Don't give the spammers ideas about Mafia games - it could be a field day for them (not necessarily Hecter himself but some of the other fools)

If I found out about anybody in Spamalot doing that, they would be immediately punished, possibly resulting in banning from the clan.

Good to know that even Spamalot has its limits. I will sleep easier tonight (which is ironic since I never play Mafia games)

As I have said before, I know little about CC history (probably because the mods don't want to share with me… Right now I have a possible banning on my ass because wicked can't take a joke).

I had to argument voting for a guy who allready had 40 votes, or I would be lynched for bandwagoning.

Man… I thought I would get a landslide "no" votes, but it's actually pretty close.
