The iphone app has got to be a brilliant idea. For me for now, the iphone is don't-play-unless-you-have-to as there is so much scrolling to be done & it's too easy to touch into links that take you places you don't need.
More importantly for lack it is a REVENUE generating enhancement. 21m iphones sold to date and the sales curve going upward - I bet lack could sell 1,000+ iphone apps @ $3-$5 apiece in the first year alone.

Well, if it was free, or a dollar, I would understand getting it if there were special features, like integrated BOB or similar along with a less complicated layout for faster loading.. But three to five is a little much for something you can access for free.

There is an enormous market of gamers with iPhones. This would take CC to the next level.
all you have to do is book mark the website and add it as to your home screen wala you have a conquer club app

I think as been brought up a few times, but it was under the "Mobile Phone" heading. I've played CC on vacation using the Opera Browser (Not Opera Mini), as well as Skyfire Browser with some success. No greasemonkey scripts, but it's workable (browsers that have a zoom in/out work the best).
Alot of the feedback was "CC maps are big enough already, why try to see them smaller".
I DO think that Mobile gaming would take CC up a notch (maybe not to the "next level", but at least a notch).
Lack may not have the resources to do this, so it may be up to the community to work on an App (recruit Chipv!)

If an app is made, may I make the request that consideration be made to Windows Mobile smart phones/pocket pc's? If possible, the backend coding be made generic, and the presentation layer be made specific.

we may not get a cc app, but there is at least one risk app out there, called Conquest Lite (Risk). that's the free version.
the app looks nicely, but since it's based on risk, we get only the classic map. the bad thing about this app is that attacking is so difficult...i wasted 6 turns, deploying all on one terr rather than attacking cuz the thing wouldn't let me. you're supposed to swipe your finger from your terr to the one you want to attack...it took me about 40 tries on one of my later turns before it finally attacked.

that app sucks in so many ways, it isn't even worth loading to your phone!! really makes you appreciate what we have here...-0

So maybe a expansion of Clickable Maps would be a start, but I think it would be a big effort.

Would it be worth it to get an app for CC that has most of the sites features

I would support this being developed, would probably pay a very small fee for it as well.
Right now, I use my iPhone to check message boards, but the iPhone's Safari browser does not allow for taking turns.

This would be nice like a miniaturized version of the site... My Games, Instructions, Rules, and Scoreboard?
Hmmm, wondering would it be possible to have it where on the iPhone the maps are clickable? so rather than having a drop down people just could click on the map to attack?
That would be nice, and efficient. Though I guess there are people that like to have the drop down.
I'd like this a lot though. Making a smaller version of the site, I think would allow for faster moves as well which would be nice.

I do enjoy the odd speed game here-and-there on my iPod. Yet, an application would allow for much smoother accessibility, and is something which I would certainly pay a small fee for.

I don't do anything special.
I just tried it to make sure it still works and it does.
I just go log in and click "enter game" and then take my turns like normal.
Do you live in an area where your coverage isn't very good perhaps?

I got it to work today. Not very intuitive, but it works for when you are about to time out and want to at least get your turn in.

While the game is playable on Safari, I won't ever take a turn using it (unless I absolutely have to).
A proper app would be awesome. Somehow incorporating clickable maps would be even better.
