this reeks of bias in every way...there are thousands of posts in here mostly useless, some have no response at all. Hes posted 4800 times himself...and again...im sure its all official business....hardly any are short quip remarks to new players with honest questions...simply telling a person they are wrong without really helping, or being personable about it in any way....Ive seen many posts like this by him, where I am just amazed he is on the staff here...
personally I get an overall feeling of negativity from the majority of his posts. He talks of elitism in posts, and then acts holier-than-thou in responses to new players, and acts as if he is better and cooler than everyone in almost every post....and now...ill go ahead and assume he deleted a thread that had much interest, many responses, and many ideas, with the only real reason being he didnt agree with it...
You cant delete this one too if you want AK...maybe go through and just delete all the ones you dont like....but you might want to start with your 4800 posts to see how many of those are really worthwhile, and need to be there...

for the record...I like AK...hes a good player, works hard in the tourneys, helps players out, and has some funny posts....its the arbitrary deletion that got my attention here...just doesnt seem like its worth the space to annoy people by deleting a thread...theres 50 pages of them in every topic...surely half of each could go...threads die when theres no interest...I just think its the best way...but I could be wrong
I argee with you, the only expection is when people post to spam the thread up because they hate it or a lot of people think it sucks. If it's a hated thread, sure they can do it for a day, but after that they should let it die.
I find it kind of odd, how you predicted that would happen. I wonder if I should make this into another thread. But maybe it'd be better to stop bring attention to the deletion of it.

In another 100 games or so when the effect of the battle royale will have dissipated one way or another maybe not, but at the moment my score is highly skewed by one game and I think it's fine to draw attention to that.

podge the asterik explains itself, I said congratz to gibbom, well done, however, he received over 2,200 for ONE game, thats is an asterik, he deserves all the credit in the world for winning that, but when an average win in one game is like 15 to 20 points or 30, getting over 2,200 for one game, well, is an * and if you read where I put this, it explains itself at the bottom of the page, this is nothing against gibbom at all, but the site really for crediting a crazy score of over 2,200 points for one game.

True, but with robin's logic your points from the battle royale will have just as much of an affect on your rating 100 games from now, lol.

lol... it's not my logic, it's just not feasabile to adjust for it... but gibbom does present a special problem... even worse than the effect of your points gains from ancient times... Maybe you could work up some kind of accurate handicap?

Sorry Robinette, from one of your previous posts I was really under the impression that you didn't think the time a game was played had any effect. Glad thats not the case.
The handicapping won't be a problem, it's just deciding on the exact number for the half-life of a conquer club game.
We could set the number at 100, and so if someone played a team game 200 games ago that won him 20 points, it would currently only have a 5 point influence on his current score.
So if this was implemented, gibbom's actual rating without the BR game would be 1100 points lower after 100 games, which seems about right. thoughts?

have no idea, but it is minimum of 500 games, singles dropped my average quite a bit, but my dubs and trips are pretty solid, I win around 33 percent singles, around 80 percent doubles and around 90 percent trips, so i imagine your 92% just clips me by a smidgeon, but never broke them down seperately. I tried to get you to team with me more in these, lol, perhaps we can with some super elite members bro.
