I may not have explained this part well. Each time you eliminate a player, you get an extra point. When you face elimination, you get 1 game for each point you have. Each time you lose a game, you lose a point. I made this rule to reward players for eliminating others.
In this case, you eliminated 1 player last round, so you now have 2 points. This means you play 2 games against Dunk90 this round. If you lose both, you are eliminated. If you only lose one, you will go down to 1 point, but still continue to the next round.

Jimmy V is the second Eliminator for Group F. Elimination games have been sent. (angola has 3 elimination points, so there are 3 games between jimmy & angola.)

jrh_cardinal eliminated 2 players in Group H. The remaining 5 return to battle.
angola and Jimmy V face off in the Group F playoff. angola has 2 points, Jimmy V has 3. Each series loss costs one point. So, Jimmy must win 2 best-of-three series to advance; angola must win 3.

I was unable to get reserves at the beginning of the tournament, and handled this by simply removing players from the first round if they dropped out. This was before the "Play Now" thread was created. It looks like we may have another dropout, and if so, I plan to handle it the same way (he'll just be dropped) for sake of consistency. If anyone disagrees with this policy, let me know.

Group F is a great battle. Angola won 2 out of 3 for this round to make it even at 2 points each...

Streaker eliminated all but 1 player in Group G, leaving Gilligan with a tough uphill battle in the fight for the finals. Good luck to both of you!

The battle continues between me and angola- tied at one now! Every round has been 2 out of 3 and some really good battles...
Fun tournament, Monkey. (will be more fun if I win the next match!)

I've read a few game chats...I promise my next tourney will be less confusing. If there's anything about the rules you don't understand,
please don't hesitate to ask me.

Finally back from a well-deserved vacation

A few updates -
*Group B still battling in Round 3
*denthefrog advances to the finals from Group D
*Gilligan still clawing away at Streaker in Group G, having won 3 series, and needing 3 more to advance (didn't expect elimination points to be this tough to overcome, but Streaker did eliminate 5 players on his own, so you should have to fight to knock him out)
*Genoke eliminates 2 more players in Group H; jrh_cardinal barely stays alive by taking 1 of the 3 games. 3 players return to battle.
Games coming soon; thanks for your patience.

No I agree drunkmonkey. It is a good setup! I'm enjoying it (Would have been more fun to enjoy if Streaker hadn't taken everyone else out though!!

And Streaker finally gets a win! Well-fought, Gilligan...for a while, I thought you might overcome the odds.
Group B is moving to the 3rd elimination, with a win by Easy n Dirty.

Gilligan sure gave me a run for my money! After the third consecutive loss ( and remember, it's best of three each time) I was getting a little shaken.
Still a great battle, but 6 was just TOO much
I'll be waiting to play the finals
