If so, we have already some suggestions: Triassic Earth, Triassic Terra, Triassic World, Triassic Era or Triassic Age... hmmm, I like this last one :)

Tell me what you think about this texture / colours :)

Some minor things I have changed:
- AS10 is now bigger.
- I connected South America to Antarctica, so there is no need to a tin ocean route.

If you still prefer another texture in this image, let me know:

Well about the texture, I like it, but make it slightly less light (have more of the original colour than the white.

Also, the sea just doesnt fit, either have the sea as a two tone fade without the texture, or make the lander brighter (not more white but brighter colours)

the last thing, romove the dinosaus, replace them with better pictures later, they make the whole thing look a bit tacky, also have the edge of the globe either with a glow or blurred, it looks a bit stupid just a straight edge.

No many white already, guy, but I can do it darker, surely...

I love the sea. And, I think it fits well... and bright colours sucks... Think about a bright yellow, how bad it would be... But I can adjust ocean colours to be more alike to continent colours, but this could bring problems to the blue continent, and I would like more opinions about this.

What are your sugestions about dinos replacements? I like them, but maybe would be better use coloured ones... Opinions, please?
About the globe edge, its done already. I cant see any problem with it.

More feedback, please??? :)

Time for an update:

Image
Things that changed:
- New Title; I like this font, but I will still post some suggestions to you choose.
- The dinos are now coloured (is it good?), and I replaced the Jobaria for another Triassic reptile. I also have some other triassic animals images. If you like more any of these, let me know:
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f44/M ... iassic.png
- The continents are now darker, as bedplay suggested.
- This version has territory names. These are not really animal names, but animals and plants modified names. Tell me what you think about these names. Would be better having areas and countries modified names?

Still need:
- Legend
- Sea routes
- Armies shadows
- Space background
- Decide what to do with India

Marv- I like the way everything is looking but I also am not happy with the sea.

I think the problem is not the sea itself, but the continents look a bit odd in how they sit on top of it. I think if you include some sort of "aura" for lack of a better word it would improve significantly. To see what I mean, check out the Australia map...notice how there is a slight shadow gradient between the land and the water? I think it improves the look dramatically. Also, I would consider adding it between your ocean and space boundry because that looks a bit funky to me as well.

I know another map has an even better example of what I'm talking about...I think its still in the foundry but I couldn't find it so I'll have to get back to you if you don't know what I mean.

Dont worry! Im still not working on the borders, because I can need still use skeletal map to correct something. When its near finished, I will make borders softer, including the ones to ocean :) But I wouldnt like an aura... :?

Opinions, please?

I don't like the colorfoul drawings of the dino's. Grey looks better I think.

I don't like how the countries borders look. They are too squiggly and jagged.

That's because Marv draws his maps on an etch-a-sketch :P

How about these dinos? Coloured, but with a very lower saturation... I like a lot.

Added sea routes... not really, I will still improve them. But, I think the colour is good, and they look fine.

This has also a legend suggestion. As we have little space, it will probably be something compact. I will also possibly reduce that Asian island, or move it to left a bit. This is a 2nd legend I did:

In fact, I would very much appreciate suggestions and opinions about legends.

About the border with the space, I cant correct that with my tools. I tested to see if it was my fault, but looks like Inkscape really cant design it better, so I dont know what to do about.

Inkscape can be tricky sometimes, but I've found you can work around most problems. Is the oval shape of the earth a single object in your drawing? If so, change the stroke under fill and stroke to a radial gradient. It's not very adjustable/flexible but I think it could make the border look better. Then adjust the thickness as necessary to make it look good.

Well, well... lets put it to move.
This one shows some possibilites about legend font. I personally like South America and India the most. I also like the fossil background... Should I increase the contrast? Or does anyone have another background suggestion?
Image
And this one shows some possibilities about title font. The ones I like the most are the options 2, 7, 9, 14 and 15. Forget the colour... lets just choose the font for now.

I would appreciate feedback, so, pleeeease tell me what do you prefer.

Regarding the legend font, South America...as it kind of has the feel of continents pushed together, you know? India seems to be dripping...not a theme I think for this map.

As for the title, number 2 all the way. It has the old world feel...but 14 is also intriguing

Marv, I remember there were some talks about the ocean being a little too busy. Have you tried blending it, or making it a little opaque, to cut down on that?

I agree with Andy- the font for South America is great to fit with the feel of the map.

As for the title I don't like 7, 14 or 15 much at all...I don't think they fit. #2 is awesome, but I also like the look of 9, 12, 13 and 16.

For legend fonts i agree S. America is great, but Antarctica isnt that bad either

With title fonts, i say either 2, 9 or 10
