so I think that rule is very unfair to higher ranked players. this is just my opinion, but no problem, you wrote that rule on the beginning, so everybody could know for it

so, in that situation it can happen that some player can not advance to next round even if kill all 5 opponents. for example, if King of Gods (5200 points) participates in tournament, and he plays vs 5 players with 1040 points(it didnt happen, but it could happen), he will earn total of 20 points even if he kill all opponents. and he will be eliminated, because 36 players will have more than 20 points.

Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
OK, it is the way terminator games are scored. There are other tournaments using different scoring methods, but this one follows the terminator method down the line. It does give a slight advantage to lower ranks, but they also have the disadvantage of less experience. In the end, you will see a range of ranks coming out on top.

Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
i thought this was a game for idiots not a game that high ranks just wipe ass and feel good about it most are not cooks so i feel used and it will never happen again

Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
Sorry you feel that way. Almost all the points have gone to SOC members, who are not all cooks. The objective to get to the second round is to get some points. You don't need to win the game, just get some points as always in terminator. Low ranks have the advantage that they get lots of points for taking out a higher rank. Higher ranks have some experience advantage, but if you play the way we teach, you can get points.

Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
Updated tough games going.
Remember guys it is the top 36 players by points not by winning games -- just points. If we don't have 35 players with positive points, we will staqrt taking the top negative points until we get 36 total for the second round.(-1 is higher than -3). In short, even if you have negative points, you could end up in the second round. So stay sharp.

Updated -- games are intense.

Updated, second post for current results
Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
Will points stack from round to round? =P
Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
No, next round uses clean slate. Objective is to stay in game each round until end. I think best strategy is typical terminator strategy -- get some positive points in each game, then, if you get to final game kill it.
Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
Updated. Only two games still remaining. Couple of low rank slaughters of high rank took place. Pretty intense.

Our game is finally done. I don't know how (actually, yes I do: A lot of luck!), but I won.
Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
One game left (deadbeat delayed result there). Should have round 2 up in next couple of days.
Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
OK, first round complete and the invitations to the second round games go out today. There are 7 second round games. Good Luck.

Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
A Request and a Question
It seems a bit unfair that a player exhibiting the greatest unsportsmanlike conduct by missing turns and getting kicked out their game in the first round was allowed to go to the second round while other players who lost more points but played the game to completion did not advance. I would like to see future tourneys stipulate that players who get kicked out of a game are also out of the tournament.
Now for my question. Earlier, my second round game 6423167, had two empty slots, one said reserved and the other said invite. If this is a tournament, then how could an invitation just be sent out? Was that a true invite or something else? BTW, a legal player filled the invite slot so its all good.
Game on!

Re: Society of Cooks Invitational (Full Round 1 up)
OK, 4 of the seven second-round games are done. Soooo, we should start the semi-final two games next. Remember everyone, you only need points to stay in the tournament; you don't need to sweep the board. This is terminator.
