There's a difference between a cult and a religion.

Those differences are Money and Followers.

If a cult has a lot of money and enough followers, it becomes a religion.
Example? Scientology springs to mind.

From page 65:

It's funny how you didn't like a literal interpretation when we were talking about you selling everything you own and giving it to the poor. Now, all of the sudden, you're a literalist.

Tell me you're kidding...and then apologize to D Isle - it'll make god happy.

Now science has said, Life cannot come from non-life. Which is common sense... a rock will never reproduce since it is not living.

Then you trace back all life to its orgin...the very first living thing.

Where did it come from?

The ONLY answer is someting or someone has always existed. And that someone or something must have the power to create (or reproduce).

There must be a God.

Science also dictates evolution could never have happened (but lets save that for a later thread).

The only answer that YOU can think of.

Because we once didnt understand how it worked:

Fire was once thought to be a gift from God.
Fermentation (beer/wine) was a gift from God.
Sickness (bacteria) was God induced.
Electricity (lightning) was from God.
...the list is endless.

Just like the above, we will figure it out one day. And many will be dissappointed.

You asked when did God create dinosaurs in relation to man? Now the only being that could answer that is God. You get answers, but still choose to reject them.

Nope. Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open manhole and die.
As far God goes.. well the words "God" and "dictate" are always practicly synonymous. And that isn't a good thing. nuff said

You can't have a thread that argues logic dictates god exists and then answer a challenge by saying only god knows the answer. Sheesh

When dinosaurs lived in relation to man has nothing to do with the existence of God. Double sheesh

bias and alternate veiws on existence

Post by Zuzzio »

are you kidding people. obviously none of you have left your bias at the door. of course there is a god rocks dont start to evolve or reproduce on their own. something doesnt come from nothing. even if god is a being as we can comprehend. even if he is an omnipotent spirit who can do anything he wants do you really think that all of creation is little more than entertainment for god. the entire universe could be some huge cosmic board game. i dont think anyone who has posted here has ever thought about the imense amount of possibilities the universe offers. for all we no the universe just snapped into existence and all life on this planet or anyother planet for that matter could have just been a completely random pile of molecues that just happened to be arange in a way that could cause a being to live. now all of you please listen to common sense evolution did take place no matter what the bible says. there is a god no matter what science says. now if all this post did was to get you on the same side to insult me instead of each other that is a major accomplishment in and of itself. because to make any of ou idiots change you mind over anything even if it is who to insult is a herculean effort
