Nah dude, I was keeping track all summer and this bunch of maps takes the cake for taking the longest.

I'll investigate

edit:

Siege quenched on 27th april. not up for live play till the 10th

this one 10 days so far and siege 13 days

Day ten of waiting. We all huddled around the computer, waiting for some change. Nothing. Still nothing. I asked my dog to fetch me some more firewood so we'd stay warm while we waited. Damn mods. Who knew they'd take so long.

Lots of bugs have been fixed over the xmas period...

Be happy with that... once they're all done and things have calmed down - I'm sure LA will upload the new maps...

Of course the longer he takes the more he will have to upload at once!!

Well according to the Suggs & Bugs forum lots have been fixed - perhaps this one isn't fully fixed yet - and as it's not fixed it's probably what Lack is spending his time on?!

Congrats DiM...this game has put the ranking point accumulation abilities way out of whack.

On a speed game...1 player conquers 4 castles and all the associated resources pairs, and gets 150 odd additional armies to blitz someone with.
Then conquers the Sanctuary, and gets 131 game points when wins the game. (yes i lost the game, but this is not sour grapes, just i see it as out of kilter)

As in V1 of this....Blacksmith is too far away from castle compared to other resource pairs and makes for uneven gameplay.

Good graphics though and i like the ice in the middle to cut of the ports.

But rankings are going to go way out of kilter when everyone learns how to play this one.

The gameplay looks a little out of whack when looking at the finished games thus far...I'm going to start a game.

out of curiosity i searched that game.

if in a 5 player game you allow a person to get 4 out of 6 castles plus all resources then it's only natural he should win. it's not about whack gameplay but about the fact that nobody tried to stop him.

oh and blacksmith might seem too far away but in fact you have to conquer less armies to get it then the number of armies another castle with closer resources has to conquer.

for example aoria has the resources really close. it needs to take 3 terits with 14 troops. a 6 a 5 and a 3
yes ghyr has to take 5 terits to get the resource pair but those 5 terits mean just 12 troops. 3,2,4,1,2

roughly the same thing so no imbalance there mate.

btw what people need to realize is that sitting in a corner bulding troops on the castle no longer works like chapter 1. you must be aggressive now. castles offer less troops but resources offer more. expand fast and get a strong economy and you shall rule.

totally different than chapter 1.

and chapter 3 will offer something else.

About the XML - BOB is telling me that butchery has a -1. Surely it should not lose, since it's not a simple terit?

I like the gameplay of this. I don't view it as broken in any way. What's happening is people used to Age of Realms might are trying to do what they did in that map and are getting messed royally up.

you're right.

i can't wait to see people messed up when they see chapter 3. each castle will have a different playing style. so in each game you'll have to adapt to whatever castle you're assigned to
