Is AJAX supposed to not refresh the game and not show dice?

Post by heirware »

As in, when I press 'deploy' or 'attack' or whatever, I have to press it, then manually refresh to see what happened, then I have to choose territories again because when you refresh, it goes back to default.

Also the dice are never shown, which isn't too fun.

Sometimes there is HUGE lag and the map takes a while to get caught up with what you have done. As for the dice...never had that problem. What are you using firefox, IE?

I've always had this problem. I just assumed that the ajax thing wasn't great. Thats why it got a bit lame when everything got moved to ajax

If you always had that problem then it might be that your internet is just extremely slow. Do you have BOB?

I only recently installed BOB, this problem has happened before that. I doubt my internet is that slow because I can access pretty much everything else easily.

heirware, sorry for not getting to you sooner.

the ajax is set to refresh every 10 seconds in a speed game and every action in a regular game.

What game type are you having troubles with? Are you getting messages that say "the server has not responded in 10 seconds..." or no (This only happens in speed games)

Let me know on those issues and we'll work form there.

I get that in both game types. Mostly when my internet connection is bad though. :?

alright, I now am getting the whole 'server has not responded' but that's likely because of my crappy internet. But it's started to refresh by itself anyhow.

Still not seeing any dice, but I just turned off this really old monkeygrease script just like the other poster did, so maybe in future games I'll see it.

EDIT: It's all good now. Thanks
