[GF] Search by Number of Spots Remaining

Post by Iainarm »

Most of the time when I'm looking to join a game, I go to game finder and search for a Doubles, Sequntial, 4-Player, Unlimited fortification, Public game. (My fave). But when the search comes up, most of the games have a full team and two empty slots. I don't join these, because I don't want bad teammates, I like to join games with 1 or three players already joined, and if their feedback looks good, and their not new recruits, i join the game. Anyway, I would be greatly pleased if you added to the Game Finder section an option to select how many players are already in the game. For instance, i could search for a three player standard game with two people already joined.

Wow… If you aren't going to use the search bar, at least look around on the first page…

New Search Criteria

Post by lalaland »

<Subject>:

New search criteria in "Game Finder"

<Body>:

* Suggestion Idea: You would be able to choose how many slots are left in a game.

* Specifics:In addition to saying how many people are in a game that you are searching for, you would be able to select how many slots are left by clicking a bubble much like those used for selecting how many players you want.

For instance, you could choose to only look at games with one or two spots left.

* Why it is needed: Many times when I join a game 1st or 2nd, a whole troop of n00bs will come along, join the game, and deadbeat. I know people will say you can manually look for games with only one or two spots open, but it's time consuming with 5 or 6 pages to look through.

Also, everyone knows how the front page of "join a game" is always filled with triples games with three people already in them. Wouldn't it be nice to search for a triples game with 2, 4 or 5 people already playing?

Very nice idea, but I would like to propose a problem. If your anti-noob idea is accepted, maybe no one would want to create games. They would only join ones that have 3, 2, or 1 spot(s) left. But if no one is starting a game then no one would actually join a game. Well, except the noobs of course.

Perhaps the idea may be considered, but if you would not like a bunch of 'newbies' joining after you, consider using Password Protected games.

If you search for a 2 player game, that is waiting for players, you will get your desired results

extra game finder option

Post by Kilter »

there is an option to see what the max players is, but why not make an extra option that you can see how much players there can join...

If u want to play alone, and fast, then you can fill in, there must be 1 open spot.
If u want to play with a friend, then you can fill in, there must be 2 open spots.

is that an idea?

game finder sorting

Post by foxhedgehog »

it would be great to sort these by type of game and number of players yet to join and other similar things

it would also be awesome if there was a way to balance out skill level before a game is started so that you don't have two generals against two cadets in a team situation

I thought this was a good idea so I will fill out the form... I like the idea of having the games broke down a little more when looking for a game to join... you should have tabs where someone can either look for a game by number, or you can look for just double, triples etc... or freestyle, standard

<Body>:

Suggestion Idea: tabs for game finder to make finding your game type easier

Specifics: in the top post

Why it is needed: So a player doesn't have to go thru 17 pages of games to find the one type they are looking for... as the site gets bigger this will make it a lot more helpful

On a side note do not want the skill level balance thing just using this thread since he started the idea... if you want a balanced skill game use private games otherwise good luck

improve the game finder

Post by timmytuttut88 »

Concise Idea: I think that their should be an option to search for a game that is almost full or a game that doesn't have that many players that have joined it yet.

So when you go into the game finder lets say you want to find a game that is almost full so you can join and immediately start playing and not have to wait to get the game started.

It would be useful since for freemium players-who only get four games-while waiting for a game they would only have 3 games playing at a time for a while. Maybe im just impatient and need to get preemium.
