if you were to make a map, ANY MAP, the type of map doesnt matter, what gimmick would you most want to put on it?

I don't view continent gimmicks as a joke. If you look at Age of Merchants and Age of Might, continent gimmicks are a key factor.

I find the use of resources and factories in the Age of Merchants the most complelling variant here.

I also find clever use of the one-way passage very interesting, though it is misused more often them not. (Misused in a game-balance terms, not in play.)

Bombardment seems interesting, but I've yet to really see it used. The Western Front map has it, but I had fog-of-war on, so I really didn't get much of a feel for it, but it seemed like a punishment to be stationed in England.

I'd really like to see more gimmicks introduced however. The more the merrier...
