Alright, Subdork and I live together, so we have the same IP address. We also play games together, sometimes doubles, sometimes standard. When we're in the same games, we usually play one right after the other (unless he's at work). So far, we have always announced that we live together, just to prevent any trouble.
So here the problem: I don't want people to think we have multis, but I don't want to announce that we live together at the beginning of all the games either (its a little awkward, IMO).
Since we don't have an alliance, is it okay to not mention it at all?

I would argue it is best to play doubles together and make it sequential. It's only my opinion. My wife is lyndyjo and we have played about 10-15 games together and only in that format. Even that has upset some other players and so we don't play together often.
Personally it doesn't bother me at all, but some are bound to disagree I am sure. I ended up on at least one ignore list when we were asked to play a real time game and we announced we needed some time to log off/log on.

you are ok as long as you play team games on the same team, no singles unless you are playing with only the people in the house and make sure that no one player wins the majority of the time
and avoid freestyle

What's wrong with freestyle? We have two computers, so we play at different times.
I guess I don't understand what's wrong with playing in the same game (singles) if we aren't having any sort of alliance. I mean, most of the time we are so familiar with eachother's strategies that we end up killing eachother anyway. Are we actually breaking any rules by playing together?
Can I get a mod's take on this???
