Suggestion: Deleting games that multis have won by cheating
I know this has been discussed before, and dismissed due to the amount of resources taken up.
However, recently lack has deleted (and reversed points) in all speed games when the system has ground to a virtual halt. So if he can do it for all those games, then it can surely be done for the relatively few games affected by multis.
Otherwise, its the same as the police catching a car thief but then refusing to return the car to its rightful owner.

The reason this isn't a good idea is because that game has an effect on every game after it. The only possible way that this would work is if the game was immediately deleted from the system once it finished.
Let's say I have some cheaters in my games. I made 18 games and 4 of them had cheaters in it (the same cheaters, let's say). I report, and the mods figure that yes, those people were cheating. By that time though, all 18 games are finished; and I've started and finished some other games (speed games maybe). If we are to go on the idea that those games never happened, I gained too many points in my games, and lost too few. I could lose 200 points to cheaters, then report them when I get to 2400 points. Suddenly I have 2600 points because I just gained back all the points I lost when it was easier for me to gain points.
The entire idea is just flawed. What you have now has an effect on what you get, and what you lose. A sudden change in points is more harmful to the system than the cheaters were in the first place.

hes right and if you do this then you have to go back to when deadbeaters didnt lose points and award the points that were never gained (i have a couple really old games if you look that say something like "you didnt gain any points because it takes no skill to beat a deadbeater" or something )

treefiddy and herakiller, I do understand your argument and accept this is not a perfect solution, but its a helluva lot better than allowing cheats to waltz into your games, tell u they are robbing you of points and there is nothing you can do about it.
I am striving hard towards becoming a colonel and would really object to having my hard earned points taken away from me by someone who is known to be cheating.
At the very least multis should have all their active (and recently finished) games deleted. Again not perfect but a fairer system then we have now.

it is very very hard to do such changes. so hard i would say it's impossible.
imagine a cheater that plays 10 6p games and wins them because one of the opponents is his multi. this means in just 10 games he already affected the scores of 40 other people. people that might be in a few hundred more games with a few thousands other opponents. so just because of a cheater that played 10 games you'd have to adjust thousands of scores.
multiply that by let's say 100 cheaters and you'll see the vast amount of work needed.
however the best and easiest solution would be to block the cheaters from taking turns. when a guy is busted for cheating the harm that he has done is to hard to repair but at least make sure he won't harm others. if cheaters are completely blocked then they would deadbeat in their active games.

yes that would be a fair compromise
It really does stick in throat when you are in a 3 player game and the other 2 have been busted but they are still free to steal your points

Dang right yorkiepeter, let me be your partner! We will both move up the scoreboard! I am with you on this. Tired of Multi's getting to keep playing and taking points just because it take days to put a stop to it. Some of you here are saying it would change to much data to delete the games...that is not exactly true, you could delete any game not complete and affect nothing.......nothing i say! This crap drags on to long, obvious Multies still starting games a week after tickets are issued!
Can anybody out there explain to me how deleting a game in progress will affect anything...............please?
Like ...just do it?
Thanks yorkiepeter for this post, glad to see other people out there have the same opinion as i do.

It's too much work for Lack as he's the only one who can do it. Not only that, but then you have to throw a judgement call in there to determine that the cheater will in fact, win. If your game got deleted and you were going to win despite the fact that there are cheaters in the game; it would cause a pretty big uproar.
If you put the judgement call in someone else's hands, then that's more time for the game to finish since it goes from one state to another.

If too many games are deleted, the point calculations won don't add up in the data. This leads to critical errors when trying to calculate scores in the future for everyone affected in the game. This would mulitply and multiply, until eventually there would just be a huge data loss.
