Timing out in Freestyle

Is there any particular reason you can time out your turn in freestyle and then have the option of starting the next round?

It seems counterintuitive that by using your attacks last in a freestyle round you can simply time out in order to start the next round.

Or is there a particular reason behind this?

I like Freestyle, I don't like that when you time out you can start the next round feels like bug abuse to me.

its not a bug its called a double turn and just takes advantage of the clock. i personally think it shouldnt be like this as it slows down the game, leads to negative feedbacks and more

this kind of playing warrants a negative feedback so feel free to give them out!

I don't like it either.

But to be fair, in games with cards, timing out the clock means that they lose out on a card in order to start the new round. I think that still leans far too much in favor of the double-turn taker, but they do lose something by doing that. It should still be changed though.

I tend to play in no cards games (although I'll now use cards in 1-1 to avoid this). Once someone's done it to you once it's nothing to worry about, but I can't imagine having to deal with this in a freestyle game that was non-speed.

Well I time out a lot in 1v1 no cards. I didn't think it was shunned speed no cards though. Anyway, I only did it once in a 6 player game. Dice were mean to me all game so I timed out so I didn't lose to a new recruit. I still stand by my decision.

The reasoning is that everyone knows when the turn will expire naturally so the opponents all have an opportunity to be online at that time.

My one question about this is if it isn't a speed game and someone has 24 hours to take their turn and start it at hour 8 and time out of the 1hour window. Does it wait until the full 24 hours is up or just their 1 hour window?

This is the main reason I'm avoiding non-speed freestyle games.
