also heard a story that a dutch submarine was destroyed by the english to allow it to happen.

Kind of curious as to what a Dutch submarine is doing in the pacific during WWII though....

Yes, quite curious. You sure it was Dutch and not Deutch?

Hmm, well, Indonesia once belonged to Holland, so perhaps the sub carried vital data and the Brits sunk her to keep it out of Japanese hands. Or the most likely story is that it was a myth.

Best President was def. George Washington. In his first few years he was offered absolute power, to which he replied "I did not fight George the Third to become George the First"

the claim is that it was sunk to prevent America from being alerted to the japanese fleet. I wasnt there so I wouldnt know.

Ill admit I dont know much about Washington. However there is a quote from Jefferson stating that in order to prevent corruption we need a revolution every ten years(my kind of leader)

I thought so. Seems it came from the same bunch of loons as the Pearl Harbor nuts.

And even though I'm a registered republican, I'll agree that Bush wasn't really the best thing but far from the worst.

On a bit of a side note, I recall that under the Patriot Act, the FBI, in order to catch terrorists, can tap into NSA and CIA data. If so, maybe it may not be such a bad thing to have, if only for that purpose.

im going to attempt to not make any pressuppoitions about you or how you got your political views....but i would ask you in the future to consider the merit of any president based on their views/effectiveness as the leader of our country, as opposed to what you think of his bedside morality.

Brain melting... ahh.

Sweet, sweet death.

Spelling and punctuation are your friends, 3 letter acronyms are your enemy and should be terminated with extreme prejudice. Initial capitalization is also a useful life tool and should be utilized wherever possible. Also, excessive use of exclamation marks will make you seem like an idiot (more so).

Normally, I don't bother. But I second the above statements.

I'm sorry, but you disapprove of Mr Clinton for his sexual immorality, while you yourself have a screenname taken from a pop band which had one of its members convicted of gun charges (according to Wikipedia). Am I to take it that you think that getting an illicit leg over is more serious than holding illegal firearms? Shame on you, sir.

... Bush should step down? ... Making Cheney the new President. Not a good idea.

... No worries, next year it will be Guliani, perhaps Romney (Huckabee outside shot).

... Worse case scenario, Clinton or Obama, but that'll last only 4 years before Americans come to their senses.

... Bush is just killing time.

Yes you are right. We certainly don't want to go back to low taxes, budget surplus, no war, low gas prices and a thriving economy...that would be awful.

Obama?

I think when you look at the options, he's a good choice for anybody with half a ball and/or brain.
