i made a subject thing about this idea i had, but i couldn't find it. if anyone finds it, please tell me. My idea was to make a historical theme on the classical map. but in order to do my idea, there has to be a way that everygame starts with the same "countries" every game. the "countries" in my mind would be: Russia, Britain, a combination of France and spain. I can't make anything on the computer for my life, so it would be nice if someone could make it.
If common sense was so common, wouldn't everyone have it?

How about an Egypt Map
I think a map of Egypt could be good to play on, what do you think?

hmm
You'd have to have a pretty good idea of regions, bonuses, and barriers before you get started.
Though everything is doable if you put enough efford in it. When I first played RISK, I never imagined UNITED STATES and CANADA could be on the risk map (due to fact that it's one large connected land-mass).
So get some maps, look at borders, provinces, barriers, and perhaps it can work out. The only disadvantage I see is that Egypt has no natural barriers except the NILE.
But again, with little creativity, you can go a long way (make impassible deserts perhaps? or provinces with pyramids that give you extra army/ies?)

Whoever does ancient Egypt make sure they include happysadfun's river boat idea (certain countries along the river can attack each other)
If i ever finish this Indian Subcontinent map, i think i might make a really small and simple map, with like 21 or 24 countries. It would be great for realtimes which are usually never more than three or four players.
