Unfortunatelly 5 wins will not be enough to go to the finals.
Well actually in 20 tournament games we have 5 victories in round 1 + 3 victories in tiebreak (we didn't get any bonus for that :-(( ).
Alltohether we have 13 victories and by your rule we are out of the finals and we don't have the opportunity to play tie break in round 2 since there are teams in our group with same ammount of victories as we do.

At the end I would like to thank you (AndrewB) for very good tournament and a big thanks for all the players for very good and challenging games.
See you again in some other tournament.

All the best, Karlo Veliki & LEONE

Thanks Karlo and Leone for your participation. Unfortunately, you don't proceed to the next round. There seems to be 3 teams with 5 points tied in Group B. If you would think impartially about the situation, you would agree, that it is only fair, that team with most wins in the previous round will proceed to the next round.

You did get bonus for 3 extra wins: you've proceeded to the next round. Anyone proceeding from the tie breaker needed at least 2 games to win. So no points can be allocated for those games, especially when other teams have played only 10 games.

But please do come back to the next tournament. I will open new tournament registration beginning next week. It will be a league (I find it most challenging and most fair luck-wise). But I might change some format and some rules. But certainly it still will be for 2000+ players.

If I can make just one more complicating comment on the points transfer.

Is the transfer based on the highest 4th place finisher (5.25), or each invidividual group's 4th place number (5.25, 4.5)? Using different baselines wouldn't seem quite fair.

Some baseline for everyone, which is =5.75, lowest qualifying team score.

Actually not all the games will be done in 10 days. My plan is to start all flat rate on Dec 7, all escalating on Dec 14. They they all should finsih around Christmas.

Looks like a pretty even first set of 4. 4 of us are going to be 2-2, with only trestain/pt out front at 3-1.
