as does the SDLP and most of the parties in the south not least FF. The power sharing arrangement is in place, but the goal has not changed - all nationalists and republicans still want a united Ireland - the big difference now though is all of us are (thankfully) trying to bring it about by peaceful means.
Whilst I see that you obviously have strong feelings about this matter...
I don't think it should affect the maps we have on the site...
Plenty of the maps here have disputed borders in and they are allowed to continue...
Examples...
a) Indochina
b) SE Asia
c) Europe
d) Berlin
e) All WW2 maps
f) Pearl Harbour
g) Iraq War
h) China
i) All world maps
C.

I am not disagreeing with you, but in the case of this map I (and I am just one voice) want to make my views known from the start. - if the map continues, it continues but everyone on this site has a right to comment on individual maps - that is all I am doing here.
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

i think it is valid to again raise the point that we have a map, however flawed, of this exact same region. This isn't inherently bad, as we have two USA maps and severeal similar Europe maps, all of which play very differently. Instead of just telling us that the gameplay will be different, could you give us more specifics about how the maps will differ?
The Ireland question: a map with city links a la Rails (as mentioned on page one) would avoid the need to show the N. Ireland border at all, since it would be a battle for cities and routes rather than regions.
If you insist on showing regions, I would give you the same advice I give everybody who has tried to make a Holy Land map: be very clear and specific about the time and point of view you are representing. By attaching a year to the Berlin map I could counter any arguments about the changes and evolution of Berlin division by simply saying "well, that's how it was in 1961." Likewise you can pick a modern date/period and call in North Ireland, a pre-War of Independence date and call it Ulster, or go pre-reconquest and just use county names.
This is slightly off-topic, but I'd also like to see a 17th century British Empire map that includes parts of Africa, India, Australia, North America, etc. It was, after all, the largest empire in world history.

Also do we not already have a GB map which despite its flaws avoided this delicate historical / geo-political question.
your outline of Ireland is also flawed - for one thing at a glance cork Harbour is missing and several other errors as well - what happened to bantry bay and valentia bay mizen head has disappeared and carnsore point has moved.
no map is gonna be perfect, and this map looks to be early in development, so cut the guy some slack

different gameplay.
I dont know if you realised you might as well say get rid off all the maps of geographical locations because you can always play the world map.
Now is that a good idea?
(a bit extreme i know, but look at america for a less extreme version.)
well how about just making it a different region other than the same exact countries as british isles with different gameplay...it makes more sense to me..

And how about losing the USA map as it has the exact same countries as north america but with different gameplay.
