[GO] 12 Hour Game Rounds

Post by The_Serb »

Hello to all,

I wonder why there is no 12 hour time limit as well as 24 ....
Some players are fast and are able to play games in faster tempo.

I think it would be good idea

'Varying Turn Time Limits' is on Lack's To-Do list. Try doing some investigating before posting. ;)

I hope this is considered an option when you go to create a new game or start in one or join a game, the options of join a game that says 24 hours, 12 hours, 8 hours perhaps, this is a great idea, but players should be aware when they join a game what the time table is, if so, then very nice job, all who suggested this! :D

Option: 12-Hour Turns (or game creator choose exact #of hrs)

Post by CreepyUncleAndy »

I didn't see it on Lack's To-Do List....any way we could get the option to select 12-hour turns (and/or maybe 36 and 48 as well?)

Instead of having twenty-four hours to take your turn after your immediately antecedent foe completes theirs, you have twelve, or forty-eight, or seventy-six, or however many you select (maybe a scroll wheel with one-hour increments available from 1 - 1024 hours).

12 hour turns would never work! Really, nothing short of 24 hours would work unless it was a few minutes. Can you imagine how many rounds would take place primarily when you're sleeping? Or at work/school?

Anyway, speed games will becoming, with each turn being minutes long instead of hours. So hopefully that will satisfy these requests.

Why wouldn't it?

It would just fine for those of us who know we're going to be near a computer most of the day.

I'm up at 6:15 for work, I work from home, I'm home most of the day every day, and I go to bed at around 11pm.

I'm sure there are plenty of people like me who would very much enjoy this option, because it either guarantees having other players for some quicker games.

Reason we don't need to have this varient, is because if you want to play a faster game, you could easily start the game when everyone was online, and then just take your turns in order. That would be a real time game, and i would recomend using the live chat to set it up. The reason to keep the 24 hr turn limit is that is the maximum time you have to play your turns, people like it when you play them faster.

I like the scroll idea, though I think the minimum should be 10 minutes, and the maximum should be 24 hours

12 hour turns

Not sure if it has ever been suggested as I am a new guy but how about 12 hour turns? Sometimes waiting on that 24 hour timer is rough :)

Have a look through using the 'Search' button at the top of the Forum page.. It will give you an idea of previous questions and resolutions.

We already have a Speed Game option but this is only available to Premium members. so if you pay 20 dollars you can play as many games as you like.
