As I've mentioned, I plan to offer "2.0" of this league in a few months, probably to start around March 1. Below are some considered changes. I'm interested in your feedback, either on how this league has run, or on the proposed enhancements below.
1. With the advent of 7 and 8 player games, I planned to call it the 345678 League. However, when monkeying around with the schedule, I discovered if I added 2-player games, things came out real nice. (not to worry! 2-player games will have minimal impact.) So perhaps its the 2-8 League.
2. 6 divisions of 8 players each. 6 winners and top 2 second place finishers advance.
3. 7 week schedule with each player playing 5 games per week. Over the season, each player will have 8 8-player games, 7 7-player games....3 3-player games, and 2 2-player games.
4. That's a total of 8*7 + 7*6 + 6*5 + 5*4 + 4*3 + 3*2 + 2*1 = 168 opponents, and you'll face each of your 7 division rivals 24 times.
5. Players choose 7 map/card/forts combination for their 7 "home" games.
a. Players must choose 7 different maps
b. Players must use flat rate 3 times, escalating 3 times, and can choose flat or escalating for the remaining game.
c. Players must use adjacent 1 time, chained 1 time, unlimited 1 time, and can choose any fort setting for the remaining 4 games.
d. I will assign the map/card/fort combos to the game sizes to ensure smooth scheduling.
e. All games are standard, sequential, no fog.
6. Points will be similar to the 3456 league for 3-6 player games
8p: 15/12/9/7/5/3/1/0
7p: 12/10/7/5/3/1/0
6p: 10/7/5/3/1/0
5p: 9/7/4/1/0
4p: 8/5/1/0
3p: 6/3/0
2p: 4/0
7. Players are eligible to participate in one of two ways:
a. participated in 3456 League
b. 1250 ranking points as of EITHER sign-up date or seeding date (5 days prior to start)
8. I'm going to need 8 division coordinators to be able to pull this off. I only had about 3 (out of 6) this time.

Hmmm. assuming some of the things I'm in now finish by then, I'd play it. I'd even be willing to coordinate a division, if you mean pming folks... but it's not what I'd have come up with for a format... I've tinkered with your format a bit, and may eventually run something similar, but it would scale DOWN, not UP, for a first tourney attempt. Don't expect to see it too soon, I keep signing up for cool things, silly me.
