I think there's a Nine Inch Nails song with an odd time signature, if I remember correctly March of the Pigs is 27/9... it's great!
Let's see, my sound card isn't working right so I can't tell how well it was performed in the video, but it's this song, right here.

But hey, his outfit was cool in the '90s...

My favourite musical artist.... I'd have to say it's Powerman 5000. Some of my favourite songs by them are Heros and Villians, Last Night on Earth and When Worlds Collide. Their music can be described as something like a blend between Electronic and Metal music. The themes of their songs take much from B science Fiction movies and 50s sci fi. This I find quite interesting as the lead singer of the band is Rob Zombie's younger brother who also takes mcu hinspiration from B Grade Horror. Unfourtanetly they stopped the whole Electronic Metal fusion thing about 2000 and became sell outs, going down the same road as Green Day. Their stated reason was that the Metal Electronic Genre was overdone, which surprised me since they had such a devoted fanbase and also that as far as I know, there were few Electronic Metal bands, apart from Powerman 5000 themselves and Rob Zombie. During there time they also did a lot of music for movies and video games, such as Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 and that electronic music played during that break in thing in the big skyscraper in The Matrix.
Edit: Holy shit, I wrote more than I thought I did.

I don't listen to much hip-hop - but i like Immortal Technique. Gotta respect his DIY anti-commerical stance
Though, he raps about himself maybe a bit too much, and sometimes he comes off a bit misogynist, but besides that he's great
I think my fave of his is Peruvian Cocaine... sick as beat, and the lyrics are rad.

Also Quiet Riot, Poison, The Scorpions, Chris LeDoux, and a few others.muy_thaiguy wrote:Back to the original point of this thread, I'd say AC/DC as my top choice. Honestly, I like all of the 70's and 80's rock. 90s rock was just a real let down though. But I do enjoy other types of music, like Johnny Cash.
(Wondering where this thread went).
