I listen to a lot of music. Lots of metal, rock, alternative, house, drum and bass, electronica and so on.

Anyway, some groups that pop straight up to my mind in no particular order... Bolded the favourites.

Metallica, Megadeth, Apocalyptica, Rammstein, Dream Theater, Dethklok, Jamiroquai, System of a Down, Coheed and Cambria, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Santana, Faithless, Amon Tobin, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, Depeche Mode, The Flaming Lips, Fleetwood Mac, Greenday, Linkin Park, KORN, Nirvana, Nightwish, Queen, R.E.M., Sepultura, Simply Red, Slayer, Snow Patrol, Sonata Arctica, Thievery Corporation, U2, Youngblood Brass Band, AC/DC, A Perfect Circle, 3 Doors Down, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Beatles, Billy Talent, Damien Rice, Evenessence... et cetera... et cetera... et cetera... blah blah blah blah. Just wanting to get a feel for how diverse you CCers are in terms of music.

currently listening to Midnight's Turn Up The Hell song
that's the latest, and i'm also listening to Toxic Holocaust's Hell on Earth album

i listen to all variations of metal, and whenever i'm not feeling like carving someone's face open, or busting some teeth to hear in on some Scream Bloody Gore (Death) you'll find me listening to classical music/jazz

Pretty much everything. I can certainly appreciate, and have in my collection, music from every genre (more or less). I listen to the more extreme metal genres much less than others and hip-hop more than anything, but everything else is good too. I produce and record hip-hop, so you have to have a diverse library to sample from anyway.

Bits of it, Yeh. Johnny Cash (does that count?), stuff that Joe Strummer has done country wise I find as some of his best work... I've watched and enjoyed several documentaries about the roots and development of country. I'm not a huge country fan, but I appreciate it as a genre certainly. Perhaps folk is more applicable, but still...

The main problem with country for me is I don't have a connection to the 'subject matter', for the most part. Cowboys don't really do it for me. I really appreciate the simple roots style of composition, and I enjoy the folk roots, but the substance sometimes turns me off.
