a bunch of Mario jazz songs, and the whole Chrono Trigger soundtrack :D

I have a bunch of others but you can get a feel of my music taste from there.

How's everyone else's playlists like?

currently listening to Midnight's Turn Up The Hell song
that's the latest, and i'm also listening to Toxic Holocaust's Hell on Earth album

i listen to all variations of metal, and whenever i'm not feeling like carving someone's face open, or busting some teeth to hear in on some Scream Bloody Gore (Death) you'll find me listening to classical music/jazz

you guys should check out Silencer. his vocals are to die for :)

Pretty much everything. I can certainly appreciate, and have in my collection, music from every genre (more or less). I listen to the more extreme metal genres much less than others and hip-hop more than anything, but everything else is good too. I produce and record hip-hop, so you have to have a diverse library to sample from anyway.

Meh. I don't really like J5. I like a lot of similar rap stuff, just not them for some reason.

Bits of it, Yeh. Johnny Cash (does that count?), stuff that Joe Strummer has done country wise I find as some of his best work... I've watched and enjoyed several documentaries about the roots and development of country. I'm not a huge country fan, but I appreciate it as a genre certainly. Perhaps folk is more applicable, but still...

Lots of hiphop (mainly old school, early nineties), rammstein, reggae, cypress hill among others. But I listen to a lot more music on a somewhat regular basis, this is just what's on my computer.

Let's see:

Beatles, Beach Boys, Sonny and Cher, Peter Paul and Mary, Celtic Woman :D , Enya, Clannad, Cynthia Jordon, Gaelic Storm, Janis Ian, Jim Croce, Josh Groban :D, Loreena Mckennitt, Michael Buble, Priscilla Hernandez, The Archies, The Monkees, Phantom of the Opera:D, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean 1,2, and 3.

Its an odd list, I know, and most of it came out waaay before I was born.

Of course Johnny Cash counts. By the way, ever heard of Chris Ledoux?

A bit, I think. The Cowboys Hat? Is that him?

The main problem with country for me is I don't have a connection to the 'subject matter', for the most part. Cowboys don't really do it for me. I really appreciate the simple roots style of composition, and I enjoy the folk roots, but the substance sometimes turns me off.

Have you heard Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros? His band before he died. Sort of folk/roots/country crossover. World music stuff really. Absolutely brilliant.

RIP Joe.

Long Shadow is a good start if you're into country.
