[IMPORTANT] *Forum re-organization in progress* [IMPORTANT]

Post by Twill »

Evening folks.

Steelhorse and Optimus Prime have asked me to do a major overhaul of the forum to make everyone's lives more organized and stuff generally easier to find.

I am going to try to do this without doing a temporary shut down of any boards (which I probably should) so that all currently running tournaments don't get interrupted.

If something moves, the search button is your friend.
Links should still work, I don't think I'm going to break any of those
If I completely screw up, I apologize, I'll get things back to normal as fast as possible.

Please forgive the dust

This new overhaul - though yet to be completed, already looks like a serious downgrade and something that is going to be a hell of a lot more confusing to work with.

I disagree as someone who plays a lot of tourneys these changes will make my life much easier i suspect for me and anyone like me.

And obviously this process is ongoing and some threads need to be moved still as they are currently in the wrong location given the new categories.
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Elwar, why is it more confusing.

Instead of having 1 forum which generates a lot of garbage and hides all the new tourny announcements all we are doing now is forcing people to pick from clearly defined boards.

Essentially all we did was split the existing "Tournament" board into 2 (General Info and Create/Join) and force you to pick one or the other rather than allow lazy people to post something in an incorrect catch all board.

Info should be easier to find now - if you want to join a tournament you go straight there, if you want updates on existing ones etc, they are all still one click away from the main list.

which part was more confusing, we'll do our best to make it less so. adding confusion is the last of our desires.

<edit>
wow, I think I'm way too tired, there were way too many mistakes in that post - all fixed I think
