this is a bit of a repeat - but seen as there's not much other talk, I still reakon the water above the bridge could be fixed; maybe cut the corners of the two territories directly above the centre of the bridge, the point being to make the dark blue section look not so much like a love heart (also the dark patch to the left of Bankao isn't as dark as the other dark patches - supposed to be like that?) - it'll help the bridge look more prominent.
[The last improvement on this section was good in any case]

... otherwise, might be time for the final forge.

QFT. this map is ready for FF as only minor nitpickings are to be discussed.

and talking about nitpickings here's one:

on the bottom at the end of the memorium you have some weird white spots.

I'd say get rid of them anyway, they are really distracting now that they've been pointed out to me. :(
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

on a related point the two poppies look squashed especially the one on the right could you make them a little smaller to resolve this

also the frame of the legend in the top left corner seems to disappear and reappear again, not sure if this is down to styling or what but I think one complete frame would look better.
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

hi rebelman....poppies can do....but the frame on the top legend is meant to be like that as it is meant to be a book and the book outline does disappear when the book is open. :)

Version 24 Update

Version 24 Update

Changes:
1. Changed the top of the bridge and those adjoining tert borders.
2. Removed the white dots at the bottom right corner below the legand
3. Changed the colour of the dark river section left of Bankao
4. Moved the legend up a couple of px so that the poppy wasn't squished.

              Final Forge

---The Thai-Burma POW Railway Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have exmined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. If after a reasonable amount of time there has not been any objection or protest, the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. As long as there is still discussion or posts that have yet to be commented on, the map will remain in Final Forge until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

Thanks Dim, and thanks for the support of some of the ideas you put into this map. :)

I see there is something amiss with the Non Pladuck POW Camp title in the version above...it will be fixed in the next update. :)

Plan for forward movement from here

While i have been posting the large version with the small recently, this is simply an up-size.

I would like the Large version to have my standard 24px wide huts on this one, so it will need to be created after all the graphic updates have been completed.

XML will be started, and finished when both versions are graphically complete.

Please post all your graphic updates for the momement as soon as possible so we can move on.

I don't know but personally this map still looks like a first draft :?
(only joking  )

No I really like this map now :!:

Is there a possibility that you can get your legend text out of the playable area? I mean the 'POW Camp Sections border each other' I hope you can find a way to get it out of the land

and I like the way how you explain the word 'four'.
When you read that text and you don't understand 'four' I guess they won't understand the rest of the text eader :)

Some little things: in the south-east on the brown area the text isn't really readable because of the black road...I don't mind since it's only one letter that is hidden in the dark but maybe some1 will complain later...

thanks that looks much better

I agree with the comment four (4) is overkill either go alpha or numeric not both.
