So, I was just thinking about all of the world's problems (Global Warming, Over Population, Diminishing Natural Resources, etc...) and I believe I've come up with a solution. At the age of 18, everyone should be given a mandatory IQ test and anyone that scores below a 120 should be sterilized. I know this sounds a bit evil, but's its not like we are killing anyone just cutting down on births. So, what do you all think?

Someone with a IQ of 110 could very well be more intelligent than someone who score 130.

Intelligence relies on MANY things.

....And how does this relate to Global Warming?!

...Btw...You should be sterilized. I know you score 115. :wink:

1) Where do we get labour production from?

2) What about people who werent given a chance at education?

3) Families would go into hiding creating a bigger underworld

4) IQ test only tests certain types of intelligence

Solves global warming by cutting down on people which cuts down on consumption which cuts down on gasses in the atmosphere. As for people going into hiding, that wouldnt likely work because in American society today its damn well hard to survive solo. And hay, come to think, might actually stop illegal immigration because who wants to come to a country where you might be sterilized? And as for all of you critics, I realize intelligence has no correlation to how many babies you have but i can guarantee you that at least 50% of the world has an IQ of less then 120 so it makes a large dent in population. I'm pretty sure this is a win-win situation.

This is not a win-win situation.

Global warning and polution are in NO WAY related to intelligence, even less to IQ

Your missing the big picture buddy, the point is we would be cutting down on population BY THE 100'S OF MILLIONS while simeltaneously creating a smarter, more likely less violent world.

And as for your comment of my IQ being 15 earlier, it's actually 137 :wink:

its one thing to sterilize people that have a mental disability that is known to be passed hereditary, but its another to sterilize people based on their intelligence, or looks, or ethnicity.

) would probably thank us for not being born, and if I have to drag up statistics to prove this is good why I might just not be lazy enough to do that.

All this global warming nonsense is really getting on my nerves. Lets assume that there is global warming. And that it is even caused by man. Tell me, please, why the current temperature is the only temperature that we should have? Please, explain that.

Now also, I'll assume you all are good evolutionists. So, lets pretend, that the earth is ONLY 10 million years old. Very conservative, by all our evolutionary models, I'm sure you'll agree. Now, lets look at our vast data on climate. Our records date back what, about 100 years? (also, does anyone find it interesting that seemingly every high temperature record that gets broken now, was originally set in the 1930's? I tell you, sure seems like here in the Detroit area, that's where all the records come from... and, uh, there were no SUV's then, a much lower population... but I digress) So we have 100 years worth of data. Out of a possible 10 million. (being conservative) So what you're telling me, is based on your evolutionary data, you are taking .001% of our possible climate history, and using that very limited information to dictate to us what the ideal temperature for our planet should be?! Does this REALLY make sense? And tell me, how scientific a model is it if you're only looking at .001% of the data?!

Now, this doesn't even get into the argument that you people have no idea the immense size of the planet earth, and how arrogant you really are to think that humans can so affect global climate. But really, this global warming scare is just that, A SCARE. Please people, stop with the nonsense.

And to the brilliant minds who feel that we need to reduce the earth's population, do us all a huge favor then. Start with yourselves. You'll be following your climate-based religion, right?

Serbia I'm sorry but your an idiot buddy. GLOBAL WARMING EXISTS. Look around you, there are hundreds of examples of how we are destroying our world's climate. Just to list a few, THE GREAT BARIER REEF IS TURNING WHITE a process caused by increasing water temperatures (That fucking reef has been around forever too so your convient excuse of 100 years of records doesnt work). THE GLACIERS ARE MELTING to the point where there wont be glaciers anymore in 10 years (Also to defy your 100 years of records theory those fucking things have been around forever 2) WATER LEVELS ARE RISING thats right water levels which have been relatively the same over thousands of years are jumping up feet in a generation. That IQ test is very innacurate. NO tests can mesure intelligence. None can measure stupidity, too.

Also, some of the smartest men are for violence. Go look for some on internets. Bonaparte, to name one. Hitler..

By wanting to deprive famillies of having babies, is basicly a form of violence in itself. You are cutting them a right they should have, and prive them of a great part of their couple life.
