I havnt had the energy to read all the comments, but I like the basic idea with advancing in 3D.
I only think you should give up on the idea of a cruise ship and go with a boat conciderably smaller (and wider), like 4 levels tops.
This so that the map is not getting too big and bulky.

I like the idea of this map. Its different with all of the multilevel action, and I like the idea of taking over a cruise ship, it seems like something you could play while waiting for your vacation days to finally come. Other maps could be spawned off of this same idea like taking over an airplane (kinda a touchy subjct after 9/11) or a shopping mall (although I think there might be a map like this already).
