2007 College Basketball Season [WINNER: Rumondo]

Post by flexmaster33 »

Auburn wins the NCAA title...congrats to Rumondo. Also, Ohio State claimed the NIT tournament title...congrats to taxmanjle...hope to see everyone again in the fall for 2008-09 COLLEGE HOOPS!!!

*I'm taking suggestions for improving the league next season.
Here are ideas I plan to install...
1. Maps will be limited in 2008 to favor better 1 vs. 1 play (no more doodle earth, pearl harbor, age of realms, etc)

2. I plan to post a full season schedule before the season begins.

3. I will start with an expanded reserves list, so we have more depth going into the season.

4. Due to the expected (at least hoped for) surge in teams next season, I won't be able to tally "scores" for all of the games.

Here's hoping we get 150 or more schools in for the 2008 season...look for it in the threads in October...I'll probably pm everyone that joined this year to give them a heads up.

Thanks for playing this season everyone, especially those that stuck it out through losing campaigns...much appreciated. Please, feel free to give me your suggestions about what you would like to see next year.

flex.

I don't believe the Missouri Valley is Mid-Major, but whatever. My first choice is Missouri State with my second being Southern Illinois. I'll play on Tamriel, flat, chained.

Optimus are you crazy!!!

Post by flexmaster33 »

I had pondered including all 313 Division I teams, but then I regained my sanity

No, I had to pick and choose who to include...but I wanted a mix of big schools and little schools, so we would have that real upset-driven college basketball feel...Anyway, I had to leave someone out...The Mountain West was actually one of the last leagues to get cut...they have some popular schools in there, but I was also looking for geographical balance.

Well, I suppose that is a good reason. :|

What is the qualification for them? Do I have to be a Sergeant? If you do, put me under any team.

Wait! What will you do with teams that play a game against a team you don't have in a tournament (especially in the beginning when the play Div 2 teams)?? And won't each school play a slightly different amount of games based on pre-season tournaments, conference tournaments, etc.??

League schedules only

Post by flexmaster33 »

I will set up the nonleague part of the schedule to have matchups between only the teams we are using, then the league schedule will follow along with the real 2007-08 league schedules.
