Can we name the system-wide real-time chat the Social Lounge and re-instate Off-Topic Topics?
no.. now give up.
it's not your decision, and i won't give up unless it is rejected by the administration

troy, can that chat be used "privately"?
Yea, I figured out a way to make a team chat...
It's not very secure... it would use encryption to create the room... however, one modify my script to generate the other team's room.
On the other hand, I would probably make the generation of the key serverside. Maybe even encrypt the source a little... One could easily catch another player snooping in the team chat, if people report it, I can change it ASAP.
If lack is interested in this chat, I could share a key between two players serverside, making it more secure.

Hi Tr0y,
We are already working with mrdexter to incorporate into the Player Menu a link to a web-based IRC chat window.
I took a look at Gabby and I'm impressed with AJAX as a platform. If we embed a Gabby, could we pass username as a parameter? How does your technique for private chatrooms work?
You may want to look at these as well (I haven't yet but I will soon): AJAX powered chat applications reviewed

I was thinking of redirecting the user to say
http://www.gabbly.com/conquerclub.com/g ... game=50553
for the chat.
