In 3hrs and 45mins I will allow that move. Then it will be 3 days from when I sent BelgarathGFRPG the pm about him challenging someone.

Question is, should it be allowed to challenge upwards against him since he missed his turn. What do you guys think?

I realize that you probably put in the PM when a person's ability to make a challenge expires, but you need to have that information in the main thread. Also, if someone does NOT post a challenge here - only tells you via PM - you need to post it for all to see. That helps everyone to know who's next and who's available to be challenged.

As for the question of allowing challenges upward against a "missed turn" player, I answered that in my post on page 5 of this thread (I'll quote it here).

IF someone doesn't post a challenge within 3 days (and aren't listed as having been challenged). Anyone who hasn't been named to a challenge AND hasn't started a game [in order of precedence] may CHALLENGE the missing player. The match shall be played on the lower ranked person's home map (even if they are now the challenger - due to non challenge status). The missing player shall then have 3 days to report to the new match (otherwise forfeit their points/chips).

This system, basically allows someone SIX days to go missing between rounds before forfeiting their points.

EDIT: Notice that they won't be eliminated for going missing unless someone of equal status (or the person who had the bye changes their mind and decides to challenge the missing player) hasn't become involved in the round.

I updated this to allow the person who had the bye to change their mind as they've earned the bye. NOTE: Their bid order would now be last as they've already made a selection (bye).

I'm so sorry that I have been away. I had to leave on very short notice due to a death in the family. If I'm still in this tournament let me know and I will make a challenge if I can.

I just realized something.

cjoe might have the bye for a second consecutive round.

The following would have to happen:

1. Marval wins
2. NormalGuy challenges someone other than Marval or cjoe
3. Marval challenges someone other than cjoe
4. cjoe is stuck with the bye again.

Should there be something that prevents this? I.e. if you had the bye the previous round you have first choice on challenge? If you were the top spot and used the bye - you may not use it two rounds in a row.

EDIT: I am only asking - not stating. "Should there" is a question, while "There should" is a statement.

Why must it be changed. Someday he will play. Its just a matter of time. And meanwhile he can't loose points and if someone challenge him, he will play on his homemap. So I see no problem. But thats my opinion.
