Ultimate Captain+ Doubles [Big_Whiskey & nikola_milicki]

League Format:
1. 4 players doubles games
2. Similar to Selin's TOP 500 Doubles League (Thanks Selin!). In the same time we will avoid stalemates, please read.
3. There will be 4 groups of 6 pairs in round 1.
4. There will be 2 groups of 6 pairs in round 2.
5. There will be 1 group of 6 pairs in the finals.
6. Groups will be created based on teams rating. (First team will play with last).
7. There will be 10 games in every round.
8. Every team will play twice with every other team.
9. Top 3 team from each group will proceed to the next round.

Scoring and avoiding stalemates:
1. For winning the game you will get 1 point.
2. Every game must finish by end of round 35.
3. If a game is not finished by beginning round 36 then every team will get -1 (minus one) point.
4. Those rules will be applied regardless of how many armies/countries you have left.
5. In the case of the draw, 3 extra game will be played.
6. The 25% of points difference will be transfered to the next round.
7. In the case of a three way tie, we will play 3 tie-braker games in total. Each team will play against the other team once. If 3 tie-braker games are not enough, I will reviewed how each team played against each other. If that won't established the winner, then team with the highest rating will proceed.
8. Every team must join its games within 3 days period, since they were posted, unless advanced warning was provided. Upon expire of this period, team must provide a substitution. If substitution is not provided, then the team will forfeit their games.
9. No points are allocated for tie-breaker games.

Games Settings:
Every game will be 4 players doubles, sequential.
Following maps/settings will be played (pending any comments from participants):
1. Middle Earth - no cards, chained
2. North America - no cards, chained
3. Great Lakes - no cards, chained
4. Cairns Coral Coast - no cards, adjacent
5. Arctic - flat rate, chained
6. Alexander's - flat rate, chained
7. USA - flat rate, adjacent
8. Classic - escalating, chained
9. British Isles - escalating, chained
10. Europe - escalating, adjacent

All No Cards games will start first, all flat rate games will start 1 week later, all escalating will start in another week.

Any extra game required will be on Classic, escalating, chained.

Requirements and Sign-up procedures:
1. 2000+ points for every team member.
2. I want to keep the tournament to strong teams only. So I would like the team members to play together at least 25 doubles games before joining this tournament. If you don't qualify because of this rule, please let me know, and I will use my own discretion.
3. To sign up post your team members here.
4. If we will have a drop off, then the other team member is responsible to provide substitution. If substitution will not be provided within 1 week, the team will forfeit all their games. And opponents will get 0.5 points for every unfinished game.
5. Premium membership is required for duration of the tournament.

Questions and answers
Q. I have another player on the ignore list.
A. If you happen to be in the same group as he is, then you would need to take him off the ignore list, so they can join the games. After that you can put them back on the ignore list right after they join the game.

Why does the eliminated team get +1 ?? I don't get it. Although this doesn't matter if most people, including myself, prefer 4 player games.

The idea was to FORCE players to attack, becasue even in the worst case they would get more then the other teams.

But it looks like it won't matter. I will amend the rules for the 4 players games. Only me voted to 6 players games
