If it removes the shadows the color in the pink area needs to change because it is really close to one of the army number colors.

Guys. below is the small map without the army shadows.

1. I think they are needed.
2. I don't want to change the colour scheme as it already has taken some time to get this right to now.
3. I think some people will just have to be careful what they look at in a game, and like all maps become familiar with it before they start blasting away.

thanks for the example, but army shadows it is. it's not worth reworking all of the colors. but you can see how much more straightforward the territories are when the territory is one solid color... anybody else have a suggestion?

Actually, these damn army shadows are a problem with every map. If it's not the readability, it's centering. Maybe we should lobby the site's shop keeper to develop new numbers that have enough outline/shadow that they can be read against a variety of backgrounds.

Since you asked me to take a look at the XML I have gone over it. I found these small mistakes:

-M.Antonius and G.Octavius have both a border and a bombardment with each other. I think only the bombardment should be there (or else the bombardment has no use).
-Same for Arruntius and Insteius
-Same for Sosius and Lurius

-In the borders of M Eros there is 2 times M Enyo
Highest score: 3130 (9 July 2009)

We'd have some weird ideas on CC from now on (bamboo jack, the hangman, etc). BTW I think Andy has to give the green light for the quench.

Andy, you might want to hold off on this one a bit please....lackattack advises that he is going to get to fixing the XML tool so that it covers more of the new xml features for checking purposes.

lackattack wrote (from pearl harbor thread):
I know there are demands for map playtesting, but I don't want to have games in the live database for non-existant maps and I don't want to let everyone into the test site or manage test privileges.

I think the solution is a better mapmker XML checker tool. Using code that yeti_c has provided me I can improve the checker so that it would have caught all the bugs in the latest batch of new maps. This will be a priority for next week.

Accordingly, i have just run the xml tool on this map's xml, and this is the results.

Test results:

I believe these warning occured because of the double ups that these territories have in two sets of bonuses.

Am i correct.?

I've already gone over your xml quite a bit. (Something I plan to do with all maps that are about to be quenched from now on.) Everything is entered correctly, I've already passed on that assessment to Andy.

If the xml is later discovered not to be correct... My bad?
