Mountains as borders

This is a lame idea to get land locked counties protected.

If your going to go for a land based war, don't think mountains will stop the hordes from invading

We have helicopters nowdays

What if your map is set in the nineteenth century, when they could barely get a damned billy-goat to scale a mountain?
