Do you take drugs often? Coz your mind is warped if you think SA only has 1 "fast dude".

Percy Montgomery is in formidable form, we have the best scrum half in world rugby, our locks are monsters, our pack is huge & our backline is deadlier than it's every been. plus our bench holds so much talent that we could rest our starting 15 for half the world cup...so yeah, we've got that

Who you supporting Jehan?

Australia of course, which is why i'll give you, like i give all my south african friends, ludicrous amounts of unjustified crap. :D

Not a problem, as long as you can take it back...I'd be giving crap as well if i supported a geriatric team like aus

Did you see aus get beaten by zim in the twenty20? Funny shit...

Man I laughed my ass off at that.

Anyone watch the Japan/Fiji game yesterday?

Yeh. Was a good game actually. The Japs surprised me really. Never seen them play before. For a bunch of little guys they put up a good fight!

Didn't see the Italy game, though. Any good?

I'm sad to say you are probably right.

I have just one question. Why, with all the outstanding players in the NZ team, do they resort to dirty and underhand tactics. I expect it of the French, its the way they are, but theres no need for the Kiwis to do it.

Apologys to all France supporters

Yeah, I thought they had a good chance of actually winning once the game started, but then the last 10 minutes...

Anyway, I never saw the Italy-Romania game myself.

It's a South African radio station - they're having a "Dream Team" challenge.

Yeh that's what I'm going for as well, or ever so possibly NZ - SA (although the group allocations make that unlikely I suppose).

And yeh, England have no chance... but we've been saying that for the last two years so hey! What's new?

I think the way the groups are if Aus, SA, NZ & France(?) top there groups & win there quarter final, it'll be a NZ / Aus & SA / France semi-finals.

Nz will then destroy Aus (purely because aus just really suck  ) and SA will destroy France (purely because SA are just so brilliant  ) and then it means SA get to beat NZ in the final again....I just hope there won't be any excuses this time round (is it's an Australasia thing where you can't except defeat graciously?)

The Italy / Romania game was scrappy as hell, romania could have actually beaten them.

Are we talking about the food poisoning here. Your telling me that you wouldnt be pissed off if you had to play the world cup final while you have food poisoning . There should have been a rematch!

Cmon Kernal  surely the wagons arent circled that closely round the laager - no-one except you guys seriously believe that nothing happended in 95! I expect that Suzie the Tealady is checking out match times on the lovely gold watch Louis gave her when he bought one for the ref.

I have to agree that SA is a large threat to NZ but really dont think that a large forward pack will be enough to win the cup. Ole Jake is convinced that defense will win the cup and this must be based on the fact that (Habana excepted) SA has a largely ineffectual backline (did I see someone in the thread pumping up Percy! lol). Should NZ/SA final come to pass, it will be an interesting contest between 2 coaching philosophies - negative defence based vs positive attack based.

I am looking forward to SA/England this weekend - go hard and beat the shit out of each other!!

They haven't needed to show their full potential yet. Did you see our "ineffectual" backline against Samoa? And scotland in the warm-up game? 3 backline moves, 3 tries & then we practice defending for the rest of the game...

If you think SA doesn't have a good backline besides Habana, then you are seriously mistaken...We can see after tonights game, when SA rip England to pieces. They better hope Johnny is playing, otherwise they have no chance.

Please - your exceptionally witty riposte is about as inventive as the SA backline. When rebutting try and get it past the five eighth!

Ooooohhhh - Samoa. Hold on - not SCOTLAND as well!! Man, you boys have proven yourselves against two powerhouses of world rugby. My local club side would look good against Scotland

Your backline doesn't rate in comparison to NZ, i mean cmon Percy Montgomery  . Mate, USA almost beat the Poms - they are shite. If you dont beat those guys you should pack up and go home. You know deep down that SA cant win away from home. Enjoy the tournament but dont go puttin money on your boys :D

Well, shit then i am amazingly witty

NZ couldn't even break 100 points against italy & italy scored 2 tries...even Romania let in less tries

When SA / Eng game is on, sit back & just watch the greatness from an unbiased opinion (i know how hard this will be for a new zealander)

P.S. Why do you use 'number names' for the positions? What the hell is a five eighth?

one thing i will say before the start of the england v sa game. england are so bad at the moment that there is only one way to go. and that is up.

and we didnt win it by accident last time. unlike a certain team a few years ago.
