so long folks

Post by steve monkey »

I'm going to be quitting once I've completed my remaining 9 active games. After 18 months my girlfriend is going to be mighty relieved. I just wanted to say thanks to Lack for setting up such a great site and a fond farewell to everyone I've played against or chatted with in the forums, but particularly to all the past and current Imperial Dragoons and also all the people from SE and the elite / colonel / CC2000 games.
All the best

Sorry to see you go, hope to see you again from time to time...
We had some great games together...
Remember the 20 rounds in N.America with Pedronicus... EPIC battle that was.

And am I mistaken, or have you lost about a thousand points in the last 3 or 4 weeks???

Never had the chance to play against you. I'll have to follow you to the door, eventually.

cheers steve, hope you come back w/ renewed love for the game after a very short hiatus! as for the girlfriend: just marry her. then she'll be happy to see you trundle off to the computer and leave her alone. funny how marriage does that.....

j/k, my wife hates this site, too.....good luck out there, come back soon now, y'hear!

Sheeesh...

no wonder you need a break...
you've averaged 72 games per month, almost 2 1/2 per day...

Games: 1158 Completed, 326 (28%) Won

Of course, many people play many more games...
but think about 1158 games compared with other things:

You've played 20% more games than the # of times you've brushed your teeth.
You've played 140% more games than the # of times you've put on shoes.
You've played 200% more games than the # of times you've taken a shower.
You've played 900% more games than the # of times you've gone out to the movies.

These are statistical averages compared with your actual number of games, your actual percentages may be different. Management makes no guarantees, individual results may vary.

those stats are frightening Robinette and are part of the reason I'm leaving.
Down to my final 6 games now.
