Captain to private in 53 easy steps

Post by benjikat »

Apparently all it takes to get your score from 2150 to sub-1000 is 53 1v1 speed games. 5months up and 2 hours down.

My wife thought (correctly) that my addiction to CC was getting out of hand and knew enough to start up a bunch of games and deadbeat them in order to destroy my score.

My apologies for all those who were inconvenienced by this, although bizarrely I only got 1 negative feedback, and a couple of players (you know who you are) kept coming back for more free points.

My apologies also to those in my other games, especially the 2000+ games, where I could get a ridiculous pts gain if I won, although I expect to be targeted in those games now for that very reason.

To start with I was pretty embarrassed by this, but I am spending too much time on CC, and this may have taught me a lesson now - so no more speed games for me, and I'll be trying to get back to captain in as few games as possible - it'll take a lot lot more than 53 though :(

PS I have now changed my password and disabled the greasemonkey autologin script!

That's messed up.

I believe the relevant quote here comes to us courtesy of the Dave Chappelle Show: "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?"

btw, all those of you that ganked points, I really would've appreciated a heads-up on the free points fiesta. :D

Geez. That's screwed up. I always knew there was a reason I kept my password hidden from my wife.

Now I know.

Yeah, we have other ways of dealing with these kinds of problems... I'm not shocked with society the way it is that divorce was already brought up though. :x

Dont worry mate you will get the points back eventually, which is more than can be said for the reputation of those who took advantage of the situation.

Thanks for the (generally) kind words - I expected to have the piss taken out of me much much more.

Nah - I actually respect her for making me look at my behaviour.

Glad some good has come from it :)

She had no desire to be efficient - the end result was her only concern.

nah - me and my daughter still need to use it

thanks - and I'm a pretty attractive team mate now too!

The main arse is that I will have to wait a very long time to join the CC2000 games again (and if anyone suggests I can anyway, I will ignore them - for the same reason that I waited until my ranking was 2100 before joining my first one) - I was(am) really enjoying not having idiots, suiciders and deadbeats in those games...

nah - I would want him to refuse me, as it would lead to all kinds of claims by the less scrupulous people that their password was taken etc.

Bottom line is that I didn't protect my password and so I am entirely to blame.

a very honourable and honest mindset, more of that would not go astray around here. I hope those that took advantage are reading this and feeling smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller

Isn't that similar to what Alex White did? I had thought that since he started 200 1v1 games and deadbeated, that he didn't lose any of his points. In fact he still holds a LT rank and never lost a point. Correct me if i'm wrong.. Not that your case is the same Benji, i'm just wondering why you lost the points.

He set up terminator 1v1 games in order to try to abuse the system, which is no longer possible.

holy crap mate. that's a real bummer :(
but don't worry you'll soon be up there. and the solution is easy just 3 words Age of Merchants
you know that map inside out and i'm willing to bet you'll be to 2000 points within a month or less depending on how many games you'll play.
