All in, 10 spots remain, quickly folks!

I think the best way to try and arrange this is to set a time that hopefully everyone can make (or a couple of times)

I recommend leaving up to half an hour available for each game, as some games can take that long, although I've found two player speed tends to get itself over pretty quickly. One person or another dominates early on. Hence the best of 3.

In retrospect, I don't think running games simultaneously is a good idea... I'll make them all available, but I suggest you play them one at a time (of course, this is up to individual pairs, and should be discussed amongst yourselves before you join your games).

I envision each game will remain unjoined untill both players have confirmed they are ready. Then both join, and play.

For the timing issue, I will spilt everyone into an A or B division based on which time they prefer.

I also think weekend times will be easier for most people (I know they will for me) so we will set GMT - Noon (sat day) and GMT - Midnight (Sat night) as Division A and B playing times. (If you can arrange to play your games other times than these that's fine but they will be the "preset" game times, hopefully starting next weekend if we get players by then)

Just a few quick convesions
GMT Noon | London 1pm | 8am NY | 5am LA | 10pm Sydney | 8pm Perth

GMT Midnight | London 1am | 8pm New York | 5pm Los Angeles | 10am(sun) Sydney | 8am(sun) Perth

If you could edit your posts to tell me whether you want to be in division A or B that will make my life a lot easier

It's a speed tournament. You have to be premium to play speed games, so you won't be able to play unfortunately.

there's actually about 4 spots left, but feel free to count yourself in now that you've registered. This competition will be hopefully starting on saturday regardless. We'll have bye rounds if we have to to make up the numbers. So please, join up.

Everyone else, prepare for some speed tourney! We're going to be starting this saturday. Get your speed goggles on, and lock it into AJAX mode, cause you don't want to lose a speed game because you couldn't steamroll in the time because... well... that is another story...

Games are being created now. I will pm everybody with their opponent for this round. I will post the draw on the front page.

You will need to pm your opponent to arrange a time that you can both play. This will take a bit of work from people to make work. All 3 games (for your best of three) will be created at once, but I suggest you only join one at a time.

After all three games have been played, post your result (wins/losses) in the forum. Play all three games even if you don't need to (if you get the time, but it's not the end of the world if you don't).

2 questions:

Was this a random draw tournament or what?(i.e. were the byes randomly assigned or assigned by rank?)

I PM'd my first round opponent and he informed me that he had PM'd you that he wasn't going premium and that he was out. So...did I just earn a bye or what do you want to do there?

Random draw tournament, thanks to excels rand() function and sort option

. Including bye spots.

If your opponent is not in, that's a bye for the moment, but bye spots will/should be filled (from the first spot to the last) by any extra joins we get once we get under way.

First round games are created, and I will be sending out game numbers and passwords anon.
