that doesn't work. Because i used a layer style called stroke. When i add the littlest blur (which i tried earlier) The stroke take a fit and starts going crazy lol

Just one small thing i noticed, the b in 'Braga' is uncapitilized in the small version.

It's not looking like you have much of a choice, but is there any chance you could move the Alentejo Norte and Alcacer do Sal labels so they don't touch the army circles on the small map? Or, have you tried the map without army shadows? Sometimes a map is better without them.
