WoW. This map making stuff is getting out of hand. I may need to get listed in the CPP (Cartographer Protection Program) :D

Besides I don't know how much time I will have between now and the deadline to work on a map anyway. I have lots of other things going on.

But good luck gimil. I look forward to seeing what you and everyone else does.

yep didn't you know? the relocate the cartographers threatened by the map making mafia into remote locations and they change their drawing style and photoshop version to avoid future recognition.

he was going to enlist in CPP but the mob was too fast. they caught up with him on a rainy night. there were blood stains all over his maps. at the scene of the crime there were some eucalyptus leafs found and an eye witness swears he heard some monkey noises. the crime is still under investigation.

It is alright, i am fine, Im not locked in a cellar guarded by a monkey with a unholy fetish for bananas. Im not being tortured by wicked in order to reveal the location of DiM in order to force him in to stopping large maps production.
Now get back on topic or i will ban you all.

Do we have to get a revamp?

I have a feeling it's going to look nicer but be less playable :?

I really like this version. It's nice, it's pretty bright, and it looks more like a game board than a photoshop masterpiece.

I think Africa and Germany could use a few improvements far more than this map.

I don't see how it will be less playable? If you're referring to the 4way border being changed, to be honest there is a better solution. Just leave the 4way border there since it appears to be a real life border (I think I read that in this thread). But, with all the extra open space this map has put a note explaining that attacks cannot be made across the diagonal.

It's like with the circus maximus revamp, which I don't like. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing, but the 3D perspective on it leads me to dislike it (or at least like it less than the old version) because it's too much like a piece of art and not enough like a real game board - hence, less playable (for people like me, at least).

Well then I guess you are probably not a fan of my maps. :(

I see what you are saying about wanting a real board game and not art but...
all board game boards are art, regardless of the detail.

It is just an opinion and I respect that. You will vote accordingly. :)

em the point of a revamp is because the graphics aren't up to current standards. I don't think it would be up for revamp if it wasn't needed.

take this from the people putting effort into revamping it.

the hardest thing about this revamp is figuring out what's going on in the north part of the map because of all the untidy graphics.
