Blind draw double tourney

hey every one i have an idea for a new tourney at cc

here is how it works: we will tkae the first 32 players to post. once we have 32 players we will doa blind draw for partners. then brackets will be set up as follows:

first round is two out fo three
4 person double seq/ ulimited fort/ escalating cards

second round
is 3 out of 5

third round
3 out of 5

finals are 4/7

if there is an overwhenlinmg sign up we can go with 64 players and 32 teams

great idea but it is flawed, bcoz peeps wouldn't join games and it wouldn't be fare on partners, so you'd need to do something about that....and i don't guite understand the tournament layout plz can u explain again? but count me in, im always up for a tourney, and i will help out any way i can, p.s. im non - premium does that matter?

let me explain this again, i thgouht i was clear but obviously it was after 420 in the afternoon so i may need to retype:

the whole idea is a blind draw we take the first 32 people to sign up then we randomly generate their partners. As far as people not joining games, well i assume all that sign up to play are not going to be dead beats, all are going to play. the bracket will look much like a ncaa basketball tourny bracket, only we start with 16 team instead of 64.

once partners are assinged the games will be give out as follows. we will your team mates spo yuou know who you are. it is up to you how you two communicate. then we will tell you that your first two games are against team 2 with players 3 and 4. you play the best 2 out ofthree in the fiurst round. meaning that you play two complete games, the team who wins both or wins the tie breeaker advances to the next round, and so forth.

well its a little more clear, im sure as the plannin of this tourney goes on i will understand more, but as i said before u can put my name down on that list of urs :wink:

there doesnt seem like too much attention being drawn to this tourney though, so it may take a while to get going, i'll ask around to see who wants to join the tourney, when's it gonna take place? and how can i help if i can...............
