Rocketry
I suggest you forget about it
lol fair enough.
Non-premium members who can only play 4 games are quite restricted. Dont you think that if there really is NO way of winning then they should be able to drop allowing them to make better use of their 4 slots.
I realise that this is an incentive for people to get premium (money to you) but a concede button would prevent people suiciding on others - ruining their game as well - when they want, or need to leave a game.
Of course this isnt for every person...if you want to enter a game that has it or doesn't have it...it should be your choice.
It should be an option for those that want it just like unlimited fortifications or adjacent fortifications. People abuse the time limits. People abuse anything they can thats why there is the feedback system. I'm careful who I play with...especially girls I bring home.
A majority of people want it including myself...so why not make it an option?
pat_wobbly wrote:It should be a gameplay option like 'flat rate cards' or 'unlimited fortifications'. If you don't want that option then don't join that game. People that are losing and give up just waste everyone's time (including their own) by not coming back to the game cause they don't care.
There are enough people that are in favor of it so why not?
Make it a gameplay option.
I have 1 word for you. Then a statement elaborating on my word.
Word : NO!
Statement: Go f*ck Yourself, it's not coming back!
That's all
Ps. Read the first post, it gives a reason it was rejected.[/b]
If you read my post you would have noted I said make it an option for those that want to play it not force it on every game on here. Huge difference...
As I stated in the other post make it an option like unlimited/adjacent fortifications not force it on all games. If you dont want to play that one game that allows it then dont join...instead play one that doesnt allow conceding...quite simple really.
58% want it so why not....better than having a person stall a game cause they dont want to play anymore cause they are losing.

Get yourself a premium account and then it won't matter if someone is stalling in one of your games, you will have plenty of others to go and pay attention to.
A forum poll is only an indicator, not an absolute. That 58% (57% now that I voted) is 58% of people who read the thread and bothered to vote, not 58% of the players.
Honestly, the downsides really outweigh any upside. Sure, it would be nice to concede a game when clearly you are going to lose... but even with it as an option, you'll have people playing games and conceding to each other to inflate points. Not to mention the cries of "Can we have the concede button moved because I keep hitting it accidentally?!?!?!"
ultimatly - if another player surrenders, you will WIN. yey WIN!. i fully agree a surrender button for all games although i would be happy (as a compromise) if it was an option.

If I did that I would have no life and would never get anything done at work...lol. I need a limit...

There are already people who do multiple accounts regardless of concede or not. I've got a game right now where 2 people have a secret alliance. One person got so angry he just stopped playing and got booted after not playing for 2 turns. This is what happens when you have a ranking system people cheat. Having non-ranked games plus the current feedback system would help alleviate some of that but it will never ever get rid of it.
And for the button thing...pop up window asks if you "really want to conceded" click yes or no...simple fix.

then get some sef contol as well. all the same i fully support this idea. even premium people like myself don't want to have to wait for days in a game you are clearly going to lose. in many two player games, when it become clear who the winner will be, the game may not end for several rounds (days)
Is it possable to add a forfeit and/ or draw button?
There are times when trying a new map where people express regret or dislike for that map (Esp onces with different rules like the trade route map). Instead of forcing them to play through it would be nice if it could be considered settled as a draw or if they were allowed to Forfeit.
Other reasons for a forfeit option might be
: if the game's ending is obivous... and you're just waiting to be finished off.
: you have the max games in progress and someone requests you play a game versus them.
: if you're going on a trip or for other reasons wont be able to play so not to lag the others players game until you get kicked.
I don't know if that's a possability but it would be a good option to have.

Some people would like to call that the 'chicken-out" button so
NO.

Sometimes some players give up, and just don't play. This slows down the game play for the rest of the game. I think such a button would be nice to have. No one says you *have* to use it...

What's the point of playing a game if you are going to quit on purpose? I don't think you should join it if you aren't going to be near a laptop or computer for several days.

I'm not suggesting that it be like something you use all the time... but as one person mentioned... sometimes people quit and for one reason or another just dont play... this lags the time table...
sometimes there are reasons why you will be afk for days... like say you are expecting a quick game... it goes long (because someone isnt taking their turns) and you have to go away.... then you cant take your turns...
Looking through feedback alot of negative marks are for people not taking turns... this is followed with a reply giving a reason... usually business..
i mean what if forfieting had some penality... like it gives each player left in the game x points... or that game still counts as 1 of 4 so you dont get people quitting for the hell of it.
It's a touchy subject so maybe making it an option would be a good play or make it that the other players have to allow them for forfeit... since we have chats in game that's workable...
idk it seems odd... the people for it are stating reasons why... those against are just saying nope... does anyone have a case for why it wouldnt be a good idea to at least have it as an option?
If you would just take the time to read the forum you will see this has been suggested countless times.
The reason no one is giving you a reason against it is because they have already stated the reasons over and over and are sick of the subject.
Go look at one of the topics suggesting your exact same idea to find out why this will never happen.
