gibbom, from what I've seen, your pretty cool, its people like blitz, david wain and comic boy, and JR (not a horsemen though) that are attention starved whores
blitz, comic and DW are all great guys in my experience and I've had a lot of fun playing them. (I haven't played JR much, but haven't had any hassles with him either). They are very competitive, which is one of the reasons they are so good, but I wouldn't go so far as to call them attention starved!
I've always found them to be very fair and respectful opponents, but they don't hold back if you make a mistake!

of course, they are good players, that is true. It's the fact that they need to continuously create threads showing off there scores that is so irritating.

I got 1 thread that I maintain... "CC's All Time High Scores". "JR's Leet 10" is posted once a month now to motivate players to the top of the ranks and congrat the players for their achievements during a 30 day period. all the other charts I designed were obvious jokes or bust on my good friend Robinette.
usually the players whining about the list are the players that will never make it on there.
Blitz is a good player and holds 1 record that still eludes me.... the all time high score. I have no problem reading his list he designs. I dont always agree with him or the information he post, but hes a good player and always a force to deal with.
I'm feeling both honored and humbled that my little thread in its first 7 people to reply has attracted 1 Brigadier, 4 Colonels, 1 major and misterman10 who is one of the best players in his immediate family.

The horseman may very well want attention, and may be their motivation for winning games and points.... but I for one find it more challenging than just posting silly posts to get it...
not to say im not up for a good post every once in a while
