1 vs 1 - Advantage?
In your EXPERIENCE (and not your OPINION), who starts first in your 1 vs 1 games? The person who joins first or last?
Therefore, were you more likely to start the game if your were red (first to join) or green (last to join)?
I have played 81 Sequential 1 vs 1 games and out of those, 49 games started the way people joined (1st player who joined, started the game) which is 60%.

course its random. i just wanna see if im the only one who almost always starts last in my tourney games. in the beginning, i always joined my games first and always started first, not so much now after i keep joining last.

Not sure if this is your joke, but I'm guessing this is a play on the dice complaints and topics about their 'un-randomness'.
In other words, the person who goes first is the one with the most 'random' luck. The one that gets better dice.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.
I have three pages of 1v1 games. Feel free to check em and count cuz I'm too lazy to. I don't have the exactness but I think they were about 50/50. I think 3 pages of games should be enough to get an accurate tell on who starts first. If not then I'm sure someone like JR or the like has more than me.
Does it truly matter
Does it make that big of a difference..If so how..

Id much rather go second, with good dice, then first with bad dice
however, the bigger the map, the more possibility there is for a first turn advantage...
however, if its unlimited forts, you can see where the first player is going, and block more effectively also...
so, for the most part, it really doesnt matter

I've played in more than 10 two player games and I find that it doesn't really matter unless it's unlimited fortifications.

1. 10 games is not a lot
2. The advantage is with who goes first, assuming even dice and even drop. I am asking if in your games, were you more likely to START first if you JOINED first or last. Therefore, were you more likely to start the game if you were GREEN or RED. Why are ppl bringing up forts?

the question in the poll is poorly formulated.
1. if it refers only to SEQUENTIAL 1v1 then it's random so it should average at 50%.
2. if it refers to all 1v1 including FREESTYLE then clearly the person that joins last will go first since he's online at that very moment. (that's why JR wen't first in most of his 1v1)

first dice has a slight advantage....but...
the randum set up can give the most advantage.......combine an excellent randum roll where you get a continent before you start along with first turn....and the other player has little to no chance..........

unless the dice screw you badly and you lose miserably

My 1v1 games statistics.
1v1 sequential games played and joined = 41
Of the 22 games which I'd started first, lost 3 games.
Of the 19 games which I'd gone second, lost 7 games.
1v1 freestyle games played and joined = 35
I'd started first except for 2 games but still managed to deploy first
Note: All games were played against players with at least 1000 points [edited: or thereabout] on commencement unless under special circumstances such as a rematch, my buddies, etc.
