Please do; I'm surprised you haven't yet. I was going to ask you if I could.
I thought about it, but it might come off as a little rude with the mockery.

No, you don't say? Take a number and wait in line please. The "I can prove God doesn't exist" line is quite lengthy.

You speak as if it's a given that that means he isn't listening to reason. An equally logical conclusion is that the arguments aren't convincing.

I'm wondering, am I on that list? Because I'm pretty sure my soul's set for whatever eternity it may end up in.

You mean a list of people I care about? Of course. You've always been pretty straightforward in your approach to the discussions. I think I have a tendency to go off on people a little bit too much, but it's all because from my perspective I feel like "hey, if I can see it...why can't they"?
As a former skeptic myself I just wish people could experience the joy that comes from having peace with God through Christ. I wonder how many people don't take that "leap of faith" though due to some terrible thing that happened in their life. I heard that Ted Turner (founder of CNN) could never believe in Christ because his sister died of Lupas. I'll bet many people just can't accept the Christian God because they can't reconcile pain & suffering with the concept of a compassionate God.

I have peace in God through God. I appreciate Jesus' sacrifice (though probably for a different reason than you do) but I still don't believe in the concept of sin because sin implies an imperfect God which is impossible.

And vt, you're probably the most pleasant skeptic to chat with on the topic, because I've yet to see you sink to the point of mudslinging or trolling.

That's an interesting take on the whole sin issue. I guess the next question would be how do you reconcile the fact that people do terrible things. Would you agree that we are all screw-ups in one sense or another?

Why are you so set on changing someone's beliefs? Let them believe what they want to, why should it bother you? If they find peace in the belief of Jesus Christ, then let them. The same goes to you; If you find peace in something different from others, then believe that.
I have a lot of respect for many religious people just because they can counter-argue and still hold truth to their belief, whilst not shoving it down someone's throat.

You make it sound like it's only religious people who shove beliefs down other people's throats - I've met several atheists who are so convinced of the danger religion poses to humanity that it's their personal crusade to dissuade believers from their faith.
It's a universal thing. Personally, if I thought that shoving beliefs down your throat would make you closer to Christ, I'd do it without hesitation. However, that never works, and is probably less likely to work simply because it's done over the internet. I think it's up to the Christians you know and see in real life to live such that you may see Jesus. There's a nice refrain to a hymn which I'm quite fond of: "And they'll know we are Christians by our love." Not only that, but in the words of St. Francis of Assisi: "Preach the Gospel everywhere you go... but only use words when necessary."
Idea being, in living the faith you send a far more powerful message than if you're walking around naked waving a "THE END IS NEAR- REPENT! REPENT!" sign.
Sorry, that was quite a tangent.

Pretty much. It's nice to know that there is a God instead of "just believing" without ever truly knowing.
