You get captured by a group of evil <insert random plot device>, here you die again and again for the next 60 years. Every day you get tortured until your heart stops and then you get revived. (That's clinically dead.) This lasts until they can't revive you anymore.

Granted, and it works great for a while, until one day your buddy needs a rubber, so you shift into one to help the guy out, after all, hes your best bud. Unfortunalty you get stuck like that :shock:
