I'm not going to argue that he is not the most technically gifted player in the league, but there's a lot more that goes into being the best. I don't think he's got the guts to carry the team himself, or the toughness to improve the players around him. However, at Man U. it doesn't matter because they've got lots of tough guys around him. But on another team, he would just get pushed around because he's soft.

And it wasn't much of a punch, it was more a hard push to the face, a facewash, but it displays exactly what I'm talking about.

Why would anyone waste breath flaming a spurs fan?

Still funny though, dident expect Stevie to do that, thought much higher of him than to drop soo low, think about all the youths that look upto him and he displays shite like that, now we'll see nippers in games trying to punch each other ;).

I agree we have a pretty solid team now, but we have got some pussy's, i mean of corse we have Rooney, O'shea, Rio, Carrick, Heinze and such names to pull us thought the "tough scaps" in the games, but with magical feel like Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Ronaldinho i wish lol. I think we will be a very good team to watch and good money to pay to go see also. ::)

But i think Chelsea are looking a bit weak, unless Drogba has another storming season i think we will do even better, and it wont be that close. What you think?

"Real" football involves using your feet

jay_a2j = ignorant dumbshit :D

and what part of the body do they run around the field with? Or kick field goals? Or punt the ball? Their FEET!

would you go and do one, you knobhead. you have a thread about "american" football, so go on there and mither someone else.

to ronnie, i do think that you start out favourites and also that the ones i think will challenge you the most will be the scousers(Liverpool).

to nagerous, i do think your lot are heading for a good season and may even challenge Arsenal for 4th. you have a good sqaud there.

hopefully my beloved team City can gel together pretty quickly and get of to a good start and beat comic boys hammres at their ground.

Well i hope not, me and my friend (liverpool fan) started this thing last season, a £1 a point, i bet he wish he diden't poor liverpool fell 23 points behind us, lucky me ;) lmfao i was loving it. Anyway i want man utd to get the title in about 30games, well not done just a comfortabe lead, 7 or so points i guess. And i would give up domestics if we were to win the champions league that would be fucking awesome.

I think man. c will come about 8th - 7th. You got alot of money invested into you and you got a top notch manager, so i see no reason why not. Although i seen your team briefly in pre season, coulden't put away chances, you may have the same problem as last year...will will have to wait n see, eh :P.

In your 1st post wanna keep track of the table?...

Of course, my summer team, D.C., is looking to make the final push for the title, so I'm paying a bit more attention to them at the moment.

Look Nate, I know the Lions are terrible...but are you really that desperate to find another team from another sport to root for. If that's the case, Matt Millen should be thrown in jail.

Stop hijacking the thread American football losers.

I'm personally a Chelsea fan. We had a good season though we fell at the last hurdle at the premiership and the champion's league. But second in premiership, knocked out in the semi-final in champion's league and won both the carling and the FA cup.

I expect a good season this year except we already have about 5 injuries. :(

But still I pray for the first place!
EDIT: oh and if you are a keen fan the premiership site has a game where you buy players and receive points on how well they played on the weekend.

We lost the edge during around Christmas I think. That's when we lost too many games and let you get away.

Get out of this thread. Why is when we try to have a normal conversation about soccer/football (call what you will) there will always be retards to jump in and preach American football. Start your own thread don't be fucking parasites!

Alright alright. In keeping to the soccer/football/futbol thread that this is:
What's the over/under on the number of deaths this year for the season due to riots and trampling?
I say........ 63.....
Anyone else want to guess?

In the premiership, less then 5, probably 0.

I support Newcastle United, good win today, we've always had the money and players, and now we've finally got a decent manager who knows what he is doing. Europe finish hopefully for us.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time keeping track of the premier league since my family moved back from England when I was about 12, however I do remember the kids at my school being very big Chelsea fans back in the day.

In regards to the comment about mentioned MLS, the only thing anyone seems to care about over here is David Beckham finally playing for the L.A. Galaxy, but I guess I don't see the big deal.

Living in Salt Lake, I've been meaning to get up to a Real Salt Lake game, but never quite found the time. Not sure if its worth it though now that Freddy Adu abandoned the US to find playing time overseas.

I don't remember where exactly he went, but I want to say...Portugal?
