again
I thought I checked the whole thing. I'm sorry about that.
Different rankings for singles, doubles, triples
As I scrolled thru the scoreboard today I saw alot of players on the top that are great triples and doubles players. And only a few that are die hard singles players. Every sport and every competition that I know of has different brackets, and different rankings for all three. Not that I would be on the top of any list but it would be nice to know just who is the #1 singles player or doubles or triples. Any chance of that ever happening?

I am not sure. I like the current system, but maybe it isn't too bad of an idea to have a "Singles" scoreboard, a "Doubles" scoreboard, a "Triples" scoreboard, and an "Overall" scoreboard. Of course for the "Conquerer" title, it would have to still be based on the "Overall" scoreboard. Sounds like a decent idea to me

I totally agree with Nak. Having other score representation would show who is tops at their event. This would encourage people to specialize in game play and would create new aspects to clan interaction. For instance, clans would be forced to submit their trips and dubs teams( or if scored individually, encourage members to raise skills in area) or be left out of representation. Even outside the clan aspect, this would show who plays what games and how players reached their high scores. This would also incourage more competition as new brackets would open up and the fight for top singles, dubs, and trips. This would not make for an disputed best either as one player could theoretically be top singles, have the top dubs, and top trips rankings.
the way the system is set now. there is no seperation of any of the games. One player could win 90% of there games in doubles and bring there score up substantially. on the other hand they might lose 90% of there singles games so they stay away from singles. Does that mean they are the best player on CC or just the best at doubles? i like what penguin said about having a total overal score also

I like the idea, but instead of having different scoreboards, I think their should be a "Scoreboard Search" where you could search for players who play singles the most, doubles the most, triples the most, or whatever search options.
Of course, I have no idea how hard this would be to implement.

This is kind of like money in a sense.
If you have to ask, you don't have enough.

it is a great idea... i think lack is more waiting for the phpssiuoubebb update before anything like this... i think its the current format that makes it too annoying for him....
I am amazed someone hasnt written a greasemonkey script to keep track of individual scores...it cant be that hard...Id gladly pay for it

GOOD IDEA by NAKTAY? WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT?
I think it is a good idea too, much as it goes agains my very core to agree with Naktay in anyway!
I mean, you really have a 50/50 chance of winning a triples game all things being equal, whereas singles more like 25% or in a 6 person game, it is only about 17%. Not that I do not think that triples requires skills. It is just a lot harder on any given day to win 50% of singles games, unless you just play 1 on 1s.
But, I too, do not know what the best way would be. So far the best I have seen is the different category suggestion with an overall ranking as well.
Well, there is my two cents, vastly overflated as it is!

different scoreboard for team and individual games
I think combining points scored for individual and team games together distorts the scorebard. Organised teams pick up a lot of cheap points to the position detriment of players who prefer to focus on individual games. You can always keep the overall total but how abut splitting it in to 2 categories each with a ranking?
hmm nah, i like the intrigue...
At the moment we have a neck and neck battle Between Comic boy (less than 40% win rate- specialist escalator, sequential, singles player) and SkyT (specialist freestyle, team player)
Comic is the champion of the people: his discipline is man against man (or woman) no tricks, no loopholes; just a battle against vying intellects.
SkyT is the pantomime villain: his discipline is the spawning pool of the loophole-frog. With a well organised team, using all the perfectly legal tricks, you can decimate your unsuspecting opposition.
It's great drama and the age old battle ground which gives a little extra spice to this place!

Great idea
Its a great Idea..And I guarantee if they ever do implement this..U will see the top 10 drop off..Atleast in singles..They never play singles and if they do its private...What im saying is most of the scoreboard from top 20 and up are team players.. Right now outta the top 20 I see 2 names that jump right out..Poo-maker and Mhennigan..They play mostly standard games..Thats bout it..I mean..Doesnt playing the same players and same map ever get boring..jimminy cricket..I joined to play..Although points are now a bonus...How can any random 2 players compete against 2 players that have been playing forever together..They surely need separate scoreboards

I think you should cut down on the medication
It beggars belief to say that comic boy and maniacmath are not singles players

Great idea. How would the individual scores be counted though? Obviously the overall score is our current score, but is there some easy way to separate the dubs from the trips from the singles? And if there is, can we be sure it's an accurate score, since the formula may not necessarily work?
I mean, I know there are some thread in GD that track "Top singles" and "top tem" scores, but I thought those were never, like, scientific or exact. Correct me if I'm wrong (please, it happens too much nowadays
