Typo?

Hi. FAQ 13 reads:
13. Can more than one person play from the same computer?

The short answer is yes. Our Multi Hunters are pretty good at distinguishing roomates & family members from people with multiple accounts. However, it is generally a good idea to play in doubles/triples games with people from the same computer. This will help avoid accusations of cheating.

Shouldn't this be that "...it is generally NOT a good idea to play in doubles/triples games with people from the same computer..."

?

That is correct, because multis normally like to farm points for just one account. If it is a team game, and you are on the same team, then the points are split between both accounts. Plus, it takes the suspicion of being a multi away from people that play from same computer that play against eachother (if that makes sense).

The wording is a bit confusing, I remember someone asking the same question previously.

The idea is that if you are going to play with someone from the same computer then you should stick to doubles/triples games (instead of playing singles).

Perhaps the wording should be changed to "The short answer is yes. Our Multi Hunters are pretty good at distinguishing roomates & family members from people with multiple accounts. However, it is generally a good idea to play only in doubles/triples games with people from the same computer. This will help avoid accusations of cheating."

I've never agreed with that. If I join with a family member, I want to play that family member and kick their booty! :lol:

I would hate to lead someone to believe they could only play team games with the person they share a computer with. Just my opinions.

exactly i know a few in here that are father daughter and husband and wife groups that play against each other

Take me and clapper for example. We have played against eachother before, but after I spent too many nights in the doghouse, I agreed to team games only. :cry:

What about playing against co-workers, at work. Im not 100% sure as how that will apear. The only time we "team up" is in doubles games, when we...are in a team. But how "safe" is it to play singles games in the same builiding, same net access, seperate computers.

If all of you only ever played at work, it may look suspicious. How you can avoid suspicion in non-team games is to make sure you always attack each other fairly. If we see one person always winning all the games and the other players never attacking or deadbeating, it screams multi. So my advice is just play your games and attack fairly.

Sounds good. We arnt going to give the game to each other. Definatly fight each other to the end. (fairly)

Edit: Plus some of use play from home pcs as well, just most of the day, we are at work, at computers. So its convienient.

Also, post a message in the game chat to let everybody know that you and your friend know each other. Then as long as you play fair, there should be no problem.

I have done just that in team games before, played from a friends house on the same team. It did provide an advantage in that we were able to discuss strategy face to face. We emailed the admin to clarify that we were in fact doing that and did not want it to be an issue. I believe it also helps that the only time i ever play my doubles teammate is 1v1. I play conquer club from pretty much wherever I am, at home, at work, gf's house, a friends house with internet access, wherever I can basically(being so bloody addicted!). Undoubtedly, if you are like me your telling everyone and their brother how badass conquer club is, and eventually your going to be sharing a computer with someone to play it. Hopefully nobody abuses it.
