What about the first question? Are these add-ons only functional on Mozilla Firefox?

All the add-ons will work with Mozilla Firefox. Some of the add-ons require greasemonkey to be installed first. Greasemonkey was developed for Firefox. Some of the add-ons require Firefox, but not greasemonkey. Some of the utilities are not installed in the browser, but are separate from the browser. The add-on should indicate what its requirements are.

In theory, there is a greasemonkey equivalent for IE7 (which you might find by googling "IE7 greasemonkey." You could then install the greasemonkey equivalent followed by installing the greasemonkey add-ons and in theory it should work. I have not done so myself, nor have I seen any reports of someone doing so successfully yet.

There are even some utilities that do not appear in this thread, but are available from elsewhere in this forum (which you might find by using the forum search and looking for "free").

Good luck.

I just wanted to say thanks to those who helped develop these useful plugins, and to lackattack for organizing them into a single useful place!

This doesn't run on Vista for me (the GM ones). Anyone got the same problem and/or a solution?

Your running Firefox right? I haven't used Vista but I would think that if you had Firefox it should work fine.

Sure, and it worked flawlessly on XP. I found the solution to my specific problem however (which has now appeared on two Vista machines).

When I go to the .js page where the script lies the "install" button pops on the yellow bar, but it won't recognize me clicking it. Once you are on that page you can however choose install from the Greasemonkey submenu of the tools menu and it will install.

Got a feeling this isn't my last tangle with Vista :o

Great workaround. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure it will help as more people migrate to Vista (however unwillingly).

Okay, I downloaded greasemonkey about a week ago and installed the script using firefox. It worked great for awhile. Now it's disappeared. What happened?
