The Greatest Comeback Ever?

Post by Minister Masket »

Possibly the most extraordinary game I will ever play on CC.
Around halfway through the Game Log, you'll see that I was down to one territory. Two turns later, I had wiped the board and won the game! The cards and the dice loved me during this game.
As an added bonus, I also got promoted.

Ok, gloating over.
Has anything like this ever happened to any of you lot?

In an Escalating game it's really not THAT extraordinary.

Yes. I play escalating Risk on a regular basis too.

EDIT: I wasn't going to mention this, but I can't resist. In this flat-rate game, I came back from 1 army in 1 territory to eventually win.

If I were cruel, and a moderator, I'd move this to Flame Wars.

It is fairly common in escalating games for this to happen. Less so in flat-rate and almost never in No cards.

No this is a come back. the game lasted 220 rounds and it took me 150 just to get my first bonus.

It's games like Hasaki's that frighten us non-prems.

And no, I don't think that's the greatest comeback ever. If it were a flat-rate, I'd say it's the best that I've personally seen. And if it were no cards, well...i probly would still be looking at the game, pondering how the heck you managed it. But in escalating, skill takes a backseat to luck. So no, not the best comeback ever. But still, it is quite a good one. So just cuz it's not the best, doesn't mean it's not great. :D

Yeah, I've seen loads of people come back from 1 territory in no cards, because if they can just hang in a few rounds, no one wants to waste the armies to kill them, then next thing you know they've got 100 on that territory....

damn no cards games.

My buddy did it once.
Oh, and by the way, you've been added to my ignore list for your unsportsmanlike remarks in chat.
And, adding me to msn, then being a fag, causing me to permi- block/ delete you.
Good job though.

I got down to 1 army once, with 6 players still in the game... 2 rounds later I had won... one of my favourite wins :D

But yeah... it's rare but not all that rare. You still feel incredibly good when it happens though!
